I SAT AT THE SILENT classroom as Mr. Shannon watched the four students spread around the classroom. Detention was not something I planned this early in the school year, but Mr. Shannon hated all his students and just wanted to leave with a paycheck.
A rush through the door interrupted everyone's train of thoughts as the five of us, including Mr. Shannon looked at the door seeing Mikey Stiles barge in. A smile forms on my face as he waves at me, sitting right next to me. Mr. Shannon eyed him before tapping the paper in front of him.
"Sign in. And you're late. And separate from Ms. Castanèda." He says as Mikey nods, walking up to the front desk to sign in.
"I'm sorry, I had this thing with the Student Council that was real quick." He tries explaining though Mr. Shannon ignored him.
"Won't you get kicked out for detention?" I chimed in as Mr. Shannon gave me a death glare behind his glasses.
"Constant detention." Mikey replied, walking away from the table to sit about four chairs from me.
