Chapter 1

"Perseus Achilles Jackson! You idiot!"

An eighteen-year-old teenager cackled as he ran through the streets. He manoeuvred through the crowd stealthily. He could still hear his best friend's screams and shouts for him to return.

He continued running as his cloak hit his legs gently. He hid behind a wall just as she ran past. He snickered before going down the road leading back to the palace.

He entered by the back gate not wanting to encounter the guard and have to answer to his father. Who is his father? Why King Poseidon. He was the ruler of Atlantis and was very protective of him. When his mother was murdered, he was brought to the palace. Queen Amphitrite and Prince Triton too favoured the teenager.

That's why Percy resulted in sneaking out of the palace. He was known as the master of stealth throughout the entire kingdom because of that one time he snuck aboard the ship and sailed to another kingdom.

Boy, when Poseidon found out, he was furious and grounded the fourteen-year-old for three months. But did he listen?

No.

Truthfully, he became an assassin. His parents don't know that. He was hired from time to time and nobody knew who he was. Just by the name Ajax.

He only kills evildoers and puts them to justice. He hates it when people are wrongfully accused and punished. That's why he became an assassin at the age of sixteen.

He slipped back into his room passing by the guards unnoticed by the shadows. He flopped onto his bed and slipped out a book. Just then, his door burst opened. He raised an eyebrow at the person who was standing at the door.

"Yes?"

Triton rolled his eyes at his half-brother. "Where did you go this time?" He asked as he sat beside him.

Percy shrugged as he closed his book. "To Neverland and back," he said and waved his hand exaggerating.

Triton snorted at his remarks. "Well, then you can say goodbye to Peter Pan as father is planning to marry you off."

Percy shot up from his bed and stared at his older brother expressionlessly. "Don't kid with me," he said seriously. Triton stood up and walked to his study table. He flipped through his pages before closing them.

"Father thinks it's the best way to keep you safe," he said. Percy was flabbergasted.

When Triton turned around again, the Omega was gone. He sighed before leaving the room too.

Percy ran down the hallways effortlessly. His footsteps barely making a sound. He stopped in front of a door and pushed it opened. His father and a few other generals sat there.

"Are you out of your mind?" He asked shouted.

Poseidon exhaled through his nose as he regretted telling Triton about the arranged marriage.

"What the hell are you thinking?" He asked as he walked over to his father.

"Percy, we will not have this discussion now," he said.

Percy crossed his arms and cocked his hip to the side in a sassy manner. "Yes, you will. I am not going to be married off just because you want to protect me," he said pointedly. He could feel the other Alphas in the room raise an eyebrow. He didn't care about what they think now.

"We will talk about this later," he said with a stern expression. Percy glared at his father before turning on his heel and stormed out of the room. Once the door closed, he shouted in frustration.

He slid down on the floor and buried his head in his hands. Suddenly, a wave of dizziness crashed over him. He felt his body grow hot and he cursed quietly. He couldn't hide his scent now and the room he was in was full of Alphas. He stood up trying not to fall as he quickly ran away.

True enough, in the room, the Alphas could smell the Omega's scent. They glanced at each other before out at the door. "You don't think...?" The general quietly asked the other. He nodded his head in agreement.

Percy made it passed the hallways before collapsing onto the ground. He was sure that it was next week so why the hell is his heat here now?

"No way is he an Omega."

"Who cares?"

He felt himself being picked up and slammed against the wall. His vision started turning blurry but he could feel someone breathing down at his neck. Percy panicked but he couldn't do anything feeling weak.

He was trapped in between a wall and the person. Fear crept into his heart as he whipped his head to the side.

"Hey!"

Suddenly, the person was thrown off of him. He collapsed onto the ground again but this time someone else caught him. He lifted his head slightly and could only see a blurry face. Blonde hair on top of his head. Percy let his head roll to the person's chest feeling weak.

He felt himself being carried up by the person as he walked in another direction.

When he reopened his eyes, he saw the same person but clearer. He had blonde hair and startling blue eyes. "Are you alright?" Percy sat up quickly as he stared at the person.

Luke watched the boy with interest as he sniffed the air. The second prince was an Omega. Strange how no one has found out yet. "Are you alright?" Percy nodded his head in reply.

"You're an Omega?"

The son of Poseidon nodded his head in reply too. Seeing the confused face on his face, Percy answered, "I could manipulate my scent to smell like an Alpha's." It was a quiet answer but Luke heard it.

"By any chance, do you have a mate?" Luke asked knowingly. Percy shook his head.

Liar.

"I should go back before my dad thinks I'm missing again," he mumbled before slipping out of the bed.

He was at the door before he turned around. "Thank you for helping me just now," he said.

"My pleasure, your highness," Luke smirked as a shiver ran through the Omega.

Percy slipped away once again feeling a little better. He closed the door quietly before sprinting back to his room. His scent lingered in the room as Luke breathed it in.

It smelt of the rain and grass. He smirked in his mind. Percy might not know it yet but he felt the connection when he spotted the Omega in the hallway being harassed by two guards from another kingdom. It was just one word and it changed his world forever.
