My Revenge is Your End

Chapter 2 GET SET...

We arrived at Meriline's house and as usual no boys inside that's why I stayed outside first. I keep remembering my dream. From afar I again saw the guy who I saw on the hospital. I am about to run to him when Meriline called me.

"Hey Rederick, let's go" she said,

"Okay" I replied and went inside the house.

As I enter the house, Meriline's parents greeted me and offered us lunch.

"Hey Drick, how are you?" asked Meriline's dad,

"Have you eaten lunch already?" Meriline's mom asked me,

"Uhm we still haven't, but I think I'll skip it" I answered them as I'm about to step on the stairs going up,

"Hey, hey, skipping lunch is not good for your health so come on let's eat first before you bond with each other" said Meriline's mom.

We all sat down in front of the food served in table. Meriline took a small basket and went around the table.

"What?" Jane asked Meriline,

"Phone" answered Meriline,

"Oh sorry I forgot" Jane replied to Meriline as she pulls her cellphone out of her pocket, "Here".

Meriline went beside me and reaches out the basket. I winked at her then she left me.

"Okay, no more gadgets?" asked Meriline's dad,

"No more" we answered Meriline's dad.

We started to eat. I said my prayers before meal silently before I started to eat. I was about to put the spoonful inside my mouth when I accidentaly glanced at the wide window behind Meriline's mom and dad and again saw the guy who's in the hospital. This time I hurriedly stood up from the table even though I know that it's rude. I ran outside of the house and followed the guy who also ran after seeing me stood up.

"Rederick!" they all shouted,

"I'll follow him" Meriline said,

"No, you stay here" her dad replied.

Meriline's dad followed me while I followed the guy. I almost got him when he suddenly went into the woods. I stopped following him that time since I have a phobia in woods or forests. Meriline's dad caught me panting while watching the guy escape.

"What happened Drick?" asked Meriline's dad,

"The guy, I saw him earlier after we arrived here, I also saw him when me and Jane are still in the hospital, I think he's watching me" I answered Meriline's dad,

"Why don't we just tell the authorities about it?" he asked me as he pulls his phone out of his pocket, "So that you can make sure that you're safe",

"I don't think it'll work, let's just forget about what happened, I think I just need to rest" I replied as I walk back.

Me and Meriline's dad went back home. Jane, Meriline and Meriline's mom are waiting for us outside of the house.

"What happened honey?" asked Meriline's mom,

"He said he just saw someone suspicious, watching us" Meriline's dad answered,

"Let's go inside, Jane told me that you're just discharged from the hospital I think you're already tired" said Meriline as she holds my arm and help me go up.

Me and Meriline went upstairs and inside her bedroom. She let me rest on her bed. While I'm laying down on her bed I noticed her staring at me. I know that she likes me but I'm very sure that she isn't thinking of something not allowed.

"I'm sorry if staring at you borthers your rest" she said then opened the door,

"Wait" I said.

She looked at me.

"Yes?" she asked nervously,

"Do you still like me?" I asked her sincerly,

"Yes" she asnwered me bravely,

"Okay, I just want to know" I replied to her.

She left me. I rested there for almost 2 and a half hours. I woke up and saw that it's already dark outside (7: 30). I stood up from bed and explored her room. I will say that I saw many of our memories hidden in a small box inside of her closet and the passcode is my birthday. I went near the window and looked outside. Once more I saw the guy looking at me. I hurriedly looked for a paper and wrote something on it. When I turned back to the window he's already gone. I crumpled the paper and kept it on my pocket. I went downstairs and heard them talking to someone so I decided to look at it. Suprisingly it was the guy. I decided to approach them. The first thing that came to my mind as I walk nearer is to shout at him and confront him but all of a sudden my heart became soft. I remembered his face. He is the guy from my past who's always watching me, visiting our house, he is the person whom I call "Bestfriend". My fast and angry footsteps became slow and calm. I can see that he is scared while staring at me.

"B-bestfriend?" I asked unsurely.

I saw in his eyes that he's not scared anymore.

"Yes, you're right it's me" he replied,

"Uhm, his name is Aldrene Kein" Meriline said,

"Kein? Are you a, a relative of mine?" I asked as I slowly sit down in front of him,

"I'm your uncle" he replied,

"So that is why he's been following you since you're in the hospital" said Meriline's dad,

"He is right Rederick, that is the reason why I've been following you" Aldrene said,

"Then, I'm sorry if I scared you" I said,

"It's okay" he replied, "Is it okay if I stay here for just a night?",

"No, everytime, you can stay as long as you want, you're welcome here" Meriline's mom said,

"Thank you, I'm okay to sleep down here" Aldrene said,

"Yeah, me too" I told them,

"Okay" they replied.

After the talk we all heard the sound "Ding". I was shocked and became nervous.

"Oh sorry the pie is ready" Meriline's mom said as she hurried to the kitchen, "Dear could you please prepare the plates on the table",

"Okay mom" Meriline answered.

She went inside the kitchen. All of a sudden Jane stood up and grabbed her things.

"Where are you going Jane?" I asked,

"Mom told me to come home, dad's rushed to the hospital I'm sorry I really need to go" Jane said, "I'll see tomorrow",

Jane went out of the house. Meriline's mom saw her.

"Drick where is she going?" asked Meriline's mom,

"She said she needs to go home and that her father is rushed in a hospital" I explained,

"Okay, I hope her father is alright" Meriline's mom said, "So let's eat the pie".

Everyone sat down on the table. They all started to eat except for me and Aldrene. I think because he is my uncle we both have the same manners which is to pray before eating. Suprisingly we both end our prayer at the same time which means our prayer is the same. I started to eat and so is he. After eating the pie Meriline gathered the plates. Aldrene offered help on washing the dishes. While I already prepared the place where me and Aldrene will sleep at. After the chores Meriline and her parents went upstairs. Aldrene and I took our rest.
Hopefully no more bad dreams.
