Alec Wells asked me out. Me of all of people! Even though, I had mixed emotions about this, I was really excited. The scaredness rushed through my body because of what happened to me. I didn't want it to happen again.

"Ginni are you okay," my face must've shown worry because Alec interrupted it. "I'm fine. Just thinking," I punch him playfully. We were interjected by Alec's mom's voice. "Ginni you can go up if you want to," she requests. I nod my head and go up the stairs.

Samantha's room was on the left of her brother's. I knock on the door before walking in. "Your mom told me I could see you," I tell her as she lays on her bed. "Ginni this is not your fault," she reassures seeing the guilt in my eyes.

"Are you sure? You wouldn't be in this mess if you hadn't stuck up for me. If Jake didn't hate me so-," she cuts me off with, "Ginni I promise you it's not your fault."

I smile at her before getting her stool to sit next to her while she's in her bed. "Anything new while I've been out," she asks me. "Your brother asked me on a date," I say nonchalantly. She smiles and laughs.

"What's so funny," I say shocked. "Oh nothing," she rolled her eyes playfully. I punch her in the arm softly. "Finally he asks you," she replies. "You wanted us together," I ask in concern.

"Of course I did," she continues, "you two are perfect together."

I smile at the sound of that. "He also beat up Jake before we left," I inform her. "Oh goodness I hope mom doesn't find out," she laughs.

One thing that kept coming on my mind was why didn't she tell me that she had leukemia. "Sam can I ask you something," I say calmly. "Sure anything," she assures.

"Why didn't you tell me about you having leukemia," I ask hoping she doesn't respond harshly. "I knew you would find out sooner or later. Alec told you. I didn't tell you because nobody knows. I mean nobody," she looks at me. She tells me with her eyes not to ever tell a soul.

I assure with a promising look. "I won't ever," I say to Sam.

I hug her before I leave. My soon to be date walks in as I exit. "What should I wear for our date," I ask. "Something comfortable," he says, smiling with a smirk.
