Hey guys I'm kind off missing the days when my chapters would get at least 1000 reads. I know it's my fault for not updating often that I've lost reads so I want to ask you guys for your opinions on what I could do to improve my story and get my reads and votes up again! It would be highly appreciated! Comment below or private message me. Enjoy the chapter-

I shut my phone off and took another deep breath before walking back into the dining room. Nobody seemed to notice my presence. My mother was leaning in on the table smiling sweetly at Jerry, while Jerry was facing his body towards her and every time he laughed he lightly touched her hand. I noticed that my mum would blush every time her hand made contact with his. Taking a seat back opposite Ben I sighed. Ben looked up from his phone and looked at me briefly before returning back to whatever he was looking at on his phone.

I thought back about the text, "We need to talk." the image kept ringing in my mind as I started the stab the stupid steak in front of me. "Stupid steak, looks so delicious I bet your girlfriend- or boyfriend won't dump you because you're so darn tasty!" I thought to myself angrily until I felt a hand on mine. I looked up to see the whole table was staring at me and my mum holding onto my wrist gently. I smiled sheepishly before blushing.

"You okay honey?" She whispered to me as the boys started talking about their company and cars.

I nodded, "Yeah..."

"I'm sure whatever Mason sent you, you'll be fine. Stop overthinking." She squeezed my hand gently and was brought back to the conversation by Jerry. Maybe she was right. I do tend to overthink things.

After a couple of minutes Jerry finally spoke up from the table.

"Ben, why don't you show Faith your room?" Jerry said.

This made Ben and I look up from our phones. Shocked.
"What?" Asked Ben taken a back.

"Just go." Jerry said firmly. I guess Ben and I were both forced to do something we both didn't want to do. While standing up and walking up to the door I looked at my mum one last time, pleading her with my eyes. But of course she- being the female dog she can be at times purposely avoided eye contact with me. I glared at her shooting daggers behind her head and stalked after Ben up the stairs. While walking up the stairs I ranted my thoughts to myself.

Haven't they ever thought of the worst things that could happen while up there? I mean, we're both teenagers. He hates me and the feelings mutual. I mean he could murder me! I shook my head from those thoughts then something else popped up. What if he tries something with me? Like advance slowly... I mean we're both teenagers and-

"Are you gonna go in or what?"

I looked up from my thoughts and saw Ben holding the door open for me something playing in within his eyes.

"Uh..I-I.." I stuttered. What am I doing?

"Ok whatever I have no time for this." shrugged Ben and walked through the door and slamming it in my face. Rude. I opened the door and glared at Ben who was inserting a game into his Xbox One. He ignored me and I just stood in the same place awkwardly looking around his room. I noticed it was clean- for a boy. He had pink walls that made me giggle, probably from the previous owner; a double bed with black and white checks and black curtains the only thing that finished his bachelor looking room was a sleek Sony 55" TV.

I plopped myself onto his bed and laid on my stomach. I looked at the TV and sighed in exasperation as FIFA 15 showed up. Mason played this game all the time it's so boring, what is it with boys and football? After five minutes of watching Ben beat the opposing team I had found the remote and offed the TV leaving a shocked Ben with his mouth wide open leaving at a blank screen. Looking back at me, "What the hell Faith?! Why did you do that?" He honestly looked like he was about to cry...
