First day

I wake in the morning, smile still plastered on my face. I change into some clothes, blue tank and jeans. I walk down to the kitchen and see mum and hope eating breakfast. They looked happy and hope looks cute in her uniform, oh yeah it's the first day of school. Summer break was awesome but I missed seeing James and Katie everyday. I sit down at the plush dining chairs and eat our traditional first day pancakes, yeah we have a lot of traditions. "Well done sweetie for last night" says mum, "yeah way to go Cali" says hope. I smile again I hope this day is going to be as good as yesterday.
The walk to school was fun, hope played her car bingo which is now called walk bingo, and after I dropped her off I walked to my school. Blackwood high. It is a big and old school, with a mascot of a sword fish it has water droplets paving the way to the front gates. The trees are painted with blue and green stripes to symbolise the school colours. When I walk thought the front gates I go strait to my locker to store everything I don't need. Half way there I see Katie "Cali bear how are you." She is the best friend I have ever had, I have know her since grade one she is model worthy with her jet black hair that sits in cascading curls, it lines her beautiful face with her emerald green eyes, she has big red lips and dark skin. "I almost missed you more than I miss looking at myself in the mirror" oh yeah she was on a camp. Her ego is awesome it makes me laugh but it isn't to self centred, "hey Katie" I walk over to her and she walks over to me pushing multiple people out her way. "I'll walk you to your locker..." She pauses and looks left "never mind I think James will be doing that" I look left and notice James walking towards me, he is so handsome he has wild brown hair that falls to his neck line, he has the most gorgeous puppy dog brown eyes and tanned brown skin. I go for the brunettes. "James" I call for him his gaze locks mine and I swear time slowed down I love it. He walks over to me and pushes me against the locker, he instantly meshes his lips with mine and I taste the mintyness of his breath. The fruity musk of his sent and the warmth his body produces. "He kids break it up, we don't all have time to stand a watch you to take each other's oxygen" Katie giggles, I turn to face her my cheeks red with embarrassment But really who cares it's the best day ever.
My first classes were fine not to big a deal, I met my new teachers but only remembered one. maths, his name was dr Nyke but I have forever dubbed him dr I hate you so much. Ok so I was late for class but he didn't need to make me stand up in front of class and tell the class why. Really. I headed for the cafeteria when I felt warm hands brush past me, they weren't James' because he had rough hand form to much basketball playing. I looked to see the culprit ready to smash their face but I saw nick he was my family friend and I had known him for.. Well since I was born. He gave me a warm smile "hey Cali how are you" he hold my hand.
"Fine" I grit out. Only James could touch me that way.
"What's wrong with you" he asks even though he sounded kinda rude I can't stop looking at him, if I wasn't dating James I would be all over him with his blonde hair and pastel blue eyes. All the girls wanted a piece of him but he shooed them away he only talked to me and his family. "Hey baby" some one called behind me I instantly notice the voice, "James" I turn and hold his hand
"Why were you talking to Nick" he has to force out the last word
"Just catching up on old times"
"Ok see ya round Cali" nick turns and walks away.
"Walking to the cafeteria?" James leads me there and I instantly rush over to Katie,
"Katie, wanna go shopping after school" I ask it but it turns out more of a statement.
"Sorry bear I'm to busy" never mind. We sit and talk for a while but I can't focus my mind was wandering to nick and James. They used to be best friends until James asked me out three months ago, they turned to enemies, I never found out why but tonight when nicks family comes over I will ask him. "- calista rose are you even listening to me" Katie looks up at me
"sorry I was busy"
"What inside your brain? Hello do you want me to go inside your mind and mind bash the people keeping you busy"
"Don't hurt my pretty face" I turn around and see James. "You were thinking of me weren't you baby"
"Yeah of course" kinda.
"Bringgggg" the bell goes signalling the end of lunch Katie and I walk to our next class.

On the walk home hope will not shut up about her first day and the game of kiss chasey they played and how a boy tried to kiss her, she also said her new teacher is horrible and is now called dragon teacher. I laughed thinking of how I gave my teacher a nickname.
Once home mum gets us both to go upstairs and get ready for the budolers come over (nick) I dress in my favourite sweater and jeans and head down stairs they have already arrived and mum has put the roast on the table, I take a seat next to nick "hey calista" why my did nick say my full name, since birth I had always been called Cali on the exception that my partners were angry or someone was mad. Oh nick was mad at me but all I'd done is walk to the cafeteria."how are you nickeless" har har. Two can play at this game. He continued to stair at me but gave up and we all dug into our food.
I walked up to my room I didn't feel like dessert, "Cali wait" a warm hand pressed onto my arm "I'm sorry for what I did" he was apologising. Awww that's so cute
"no worries" I wasn't going to hold a grunge for longer than needed.
"Hey Cali do you wanna watch a movie I brought one we could watch it in your room".
"Ok, yeah sure, what movie"
"I brought few you can choose" we walked into my room and I turned on the tv. I ended up picking out 'were the Millers' just for some laughs, when the movie finished nick left and I slept. No time for going down stairs to say bye or anything.
