3rd POV
It was another of the usual days in the house. The children woke up 6 am sharp on their plush beds, but weirdly, not by Emma who is the one that usually wakes the other children for breakfast. She woke up because of a nightmare, though she rarely have a nightmare.

They all got dressed with snow white clothes, and got ready for the day.

Iris woke up in the infirmary feeling a slight pain on her head. She found Ray sitting on a chair beside her bed, sleeping silently holding a book. 'Mechanical Engineering and the History of Humans'  is the title of the book.

She already read it. It was published on 2015 and the recently published book in the library.

There are no other books that were published that exceed 2015. What did just happened on the outside world? she realized.

Iris decided to look for her eye patch and saw it on the bedside table, opposite to where Ray is. She heard him shift. It seems that he woke up. She quickly put on the eye patch before he opens his eyes.

"Morning Ray," she greeted in monotone.

"Good morning," he said then stretch his arms. "Are you feeling better? You just fell on the ground yesterday and lost consciousness."

"Yeah, I'm alright." she answered.

"What happened?"

"It's nothing. I guess I just got suddenly tired that time."

He sigh. "...Then get yourself ready. I'm guessing everyone's in the dining room." He went out the room first. She quickly stood up and arrange the bed. She soon then quietly went out the room.

She saw the others still messing around and the older ones scolding them. The house seems lively, but she noticed Emma walking down the stairs with a pale looking face that is rarely seen from her. She's not messing with the other kids like always and seems like she became silent, not like the usual morning that she's lively.

What did really happened last night?

Emma felt a hand on her shoulder. Surprise clear on her face. "Your not the same as usual." Iris said.

"Good morning Iris, are you feeling well?" Emma asked brushing away her sister just stated.

"G-morning," she responded. "I'm alright. Don't worry,"

"What happened to you? We saw Ray carrying you back to the house when we came back."

"... It's nothing." Iris seemed startled for  a second before she composed herself. "How about you guys? Did you made it to Conny?" her turn to ask.

Emma frowned and look down so that Iris won't see her face. This made Iris to make an eyebrow raise. "We...didn't make it..."

Iris noticed Emma is uncomfortable, so she just changed the topic. "Alright, they're waiting for breakfast. Lets go."

Emma just nodded and they both entered the dining room and sit on empty chairs. Emma and Iris sat in front Norman and Ray respectively.

"Let's give thanks for the food we have today," Isabella, their mom said.

"Thank you for the food!" They all said in unison and started eating. After that, they washed the dishes and entered a room where they will conduct their daily litany exams.
