EYES

43 9 6

Oh! Those watery subliming eyes

How can I make them forget

There was so much love in them

And much more pain I bet.

Oh! Those watery subliming eyes

In them I saw a painful reflection

Of murder and burial of a son

Whom she had cared with such affection.

Oh! Those watery subliming eyes

They longed for a long lost son

So I brave and truthful at heart took charge

To shine for them like a brighter sun.

Oh! Those watery subliming eyes

There was something in them that made me fear

A fear of losing love

A fear of losing something dear.

Oh! Those watery subliming eyes

How can I make them forget

For they are no more to guide me

They are gone,they are dead.

Oh! Those watery subliming eyes

How can I make them forget!
