A/N: feels strange to put an Author's Note here but I had to say a few things before we start.

Reminder the story is an ongoing work in progress and I change a lot of things and it's basically a draft so kindly disregard any mistakes or plot holes (I hope there's not much of those.)

Also the book is skyrocketing with reads and new readers so huge thanks and I'm glad you're loving it.

Now without further ado:

Noah

"I had a few run-ins with Pr. Peter-Grayson. She was really kind. She advised me to seek help."

"Yeah, grandma tends to have that habit." I admitted. Grandma could see right through people, and she never shied away from recommending what she knew people needed most of the time; help.

"I used to visit her office back when Kent was as little as 3 years old. She showed me that I could live my life during a really dark period that I had been pathing through." She was getting riled up as it was obviously an emotional experience. A clear layer of tears covered her eyes, which were indistinguishably like Kent's, which made me realise how much I missed him. "But, in order to win myself, I had to lose Kent."

Before she could explain what she meant by that, the door to the backroom we were sitting in smacked open, a familiar figure storming through.

Ruby and Raiken jumped up in fear. I mean, everyone was scared, but they were absolutely drained of colour.

Raiken's uncle dashed like he owned the place. Which he did. He passed a hand through his hair, which had uneven splotches of white hair. His skin mirrored that pattern. It gave him a noticeable edge of uniqueness.

"How gullible do you think I am?" He didn't expect an answer, everyone knew that. His all-black attire did not ease the terror he caused through his presence. Darlene was mortified. "You think I didn't see you walking into my club with fake IDs? Fake IDs, Ruby?" His cold grey eyes landed on Ruby, whose body seemed to back away on its own. "Is this Scarlet's idea?"

"No don't tell mom!" Ruby shrieked.

"Does my brother know his son is here?" Raiken didn't dare utter a word.

"Your entrance bodyguard let us in fairly easily." I stepped in.

"First off, he's called a bouncer." he huffed. "Second off, he let you in because he had orders to let you in."

"Do you really expect us to-" I caught Raiken's eyebrows warning me to stop intensely.

"Your IDs are all eighteens and nineteens. You all barely look sixteen." He said, grabbing a brochure-like paper. He shoved it in my face.

In thick red, at the very bottom of the page, a warning was written clearly:

Entry is prohibited to individuals below the age of 21.

Well, fuck.

The 'bouncer' didn't even bother with the IDs. It was all a scheme.

"It's okay, Harken." Darlene said. Harken softened a bit at her cracked up voice. She was still emotional, and tear stains glistened against her face.

He closed the door and leaned against it, eager to know what was going on.

Darlene explained how her husband, Kent's dad, was abusive. How he cheated on her with Spyder's mom, who was severely depressed then consequently committed suicide. How she had to leave town and make Kent think she died.
