Borealis. Traitor. Killer. Murderer. Lier. Villain. All of those words cycled through Coral's head as she watched King Aster say 'Kill them.' Kill her. Kill Amber, kill Shimmerwings, kill Faith, kill Opal, kill Hope.
No.
"King Aster, please! We didn't want to know all this stuff! Opal and Hope, they're only five! Do you want to die at five? Please, spare us!" Amber cried, stepping forward to the edge of the ledge they all stood on.
Kill her. Kill Amber. Kil Shimmerwings. Kill Faith. Kill Opal. Kill Hope. No.
"I don't care if you die," King Aster said. "I just can't have you tell everyone."
Borealis landed on the ground to the right and behind Amber. Coral looked at the others. They couldn't see him.
Kill her. Kill Amber. Kil Shimmerwings. Kill Faith. Kill Opal. Kill Hope. That would not happen.
"We can take him!" Faith said, flaring her wings. Shimmerwings joined her, turning her scales completely red.
Borealis crouched, preparing to leap.
Amber would not die today. Only one dragon would die today. Coral silently ripped her necklace off, which contained their bags, and tossed it to Faith.
Borealis stalked forward and lunged.
Coral was faster.
She threw her weight into him, knocking him off the edge. His screams echoed around the massive cave.
She fell, too.
