Jamie's P.O.V

I awoke to the sound of singing coming from around my bed. Groaning, I put my pillow over my head. It wasn't the fact that the singing was bad. It was on point. However, after being the 17 year old son of two of the members of pentatonix, you kinda began to grow slightly annoyed at the sound of an acapalla arangement especially at like what 10 in the morning. I heard the bass began to kick in and the beatboxer accompany this brand new remix I totally haven't heard every single day on my birthday. Running my fingers through my blonde hair,I sat up. Immediately I was swamped in hugs.

"Okay, okay I understand that you all love me and everything but I can't breath and I don't particularly want to die on my 17th birthday. Especially now that I can drive." I said in a strained voice. Instantly the pair of arms embracing me fell away. I took a deep breath as a mumble of apologys filled the room.

"They can all stay away but I'm your mother so I have the right to do this" My mum yet again held me tight singing about how her baby boy was seventeen. I blushed and turned bright red. Not gonna lie it was embarrasing. Especially since Scomiche's daughter Regina was in the room (Yes the queens called their daughter Queen in latin..) Her brown hair was lying in loose waves oover her shoulders and her blueish grey eyes shone. Despite being adopted she literally looked exactly like a mix of both Scott and Mitch. She was my best friend and we had grown up together, because of this I had developed a 'slight' crush on her.

My dad knew about this and was currently wiggling his eyebrows at me.

"Mum,mum. You can let go now" I hugged her and broke away. She immediately hugged my dad and you could still see the love in their eyes even after 15 years. Regina hugged me.

"Happy birthday Jay" She sang in a voice almost as sweet as Mitch's.

"Thank you reggie" I sang back. Years of listening to endless auditions and going to many seeming endless vocal lessons gave me an okay voice. I mean if I sang I wouldn't deafen anyone but standing next to my parents I sounded like a cat. I guess that goes for anyone. Reggie took my hand and lead me downstairs to yet another chorus of Happy Birthday. This time I beatboxed and sang along, smiling as I walked down the stairs. Reggie squeezed my hand and I smiled at her causing her to blush. This birthday,I thought to myself was going to be different.
