Jamie's P.O.V
Have you ever had those days where everything is dreamlike? Like you're there and seeing things but it feels as if you are only dreaming? I tried to explain to my dad once when I was younger. I had been dazed out all day and he was worried. I told him that I saw and heard everything he or anyone did it just felt unreal. Despite looking at me like I was slightly crazy in silence for a moment. The phone rang and he went to answer it,hugging me as he went. Since that day, I've had a few of these days but today. Sitting in my new car, singing along to the radio with my crush as we road trip across the country. Everything was pretty surreal.
The music was turned up on full volume and we were singing at the top of lungs still managing to harmonise. Benefits of having musical gods as parents I suppose. Regina reached her hand out and turned down the radio until just a faint melody of tunes could be heard.
"This is amazing isn't it?" She sung.
"Yeah. I never expected this. Hell I was expecting socks!" I replied my eyes glued to road resisting the urge to smile at her as I heard her giggle.
"I'm offended! I would never get you socks and if I did. They'd be gucchi!" She stated as if it was a well known fact. I suppose it is to be honest, with the queens as parents anyway.
"I am honoured. I expect gucchi socks for christmas then. Nothing less peasant." I replied, the sarcastic tone in my voice over the top and excessive. I pulled over to the side of the road and turned to face her.
"Oh now you've stepped over the line you vile creature. May your eyebrows never be on fleek!" She retaliated with a raise of an eyebrow and grin.
"How dare you! I hope you step on lego!" She stopped smiling as did I.
"Too far?" She nodded and fake pouted. Her lip trembled as she spoke " That was cruel man." I reached over and hugged her.
"I'm sorry." She hugged me back before tickling me and screaming
"SUCKER!" I fought back and eventually had hold of her hands.
"Our friendship is the weirdest thing to happen to humanity isn't it?"
"Yup." She replied blowing a string of hair out of her face. We laughed, grinning like idiots just enjoying the comfortable silence.
A loud tap on the windows brought us to our senses. Regina rolled down her window with one hand. An stern looking cop stood glaring at us.
"if you too are planning to do 'it' can you at least get to a hotel?" I stared at Regina confused and then realised our position. I was leaning over her and had her hands pinned against the seat. Plus we were both smiling like two kids in a candy store. I drew my hands back quickly.
"Thank you and use protection. ..." he walked away leaving us two in silence. Regina rolled up her window again and giggled.
"Use protection.." she said imitating the police officers gruff voice. I burst out laughing and she joined in.
"Did that just happened?" I asked.
"Yeah. I think went a bit too far. God telling me to step on lego. You sick person!" I laughed and pulled back into the main road, continuing to drive. I turned the radio back up and sang at the top of my lungs.
"Yeah too far brah, too far."
