It's a very peaceful summer evening. I could even hear birds tweeting. There couldn't be better time than now to go into the forest behind my backyard. Gemma,my German Sheperd dog, who was freshly bathed, was wagging its tail and following me.
I looked up to the sky and saw the sun shining brighter than ever. The trees are so thick that the sunlight could barely enter. Everything was green. I love green.
An awful smell came into my nostril. I instantly pinched the bridge of my nose blocking the smell out. " Ouch" I tripped on a large log and fell face first on the forest floor. Now my ankle hurt so bad. I think it's dislocated. And my face got wet by something.
I looked down my hand and saw red sticky liquid pooling around me. I licked my lips and tasted metal. Sure the blood didn't come from me.
I turned around only to find Gemma missing . She's supposed to be behind me.I called out her name, but nothing came out. My voice got stuck up in my throat. I try again. This time my throat became so tight that I could feel my vocal cord getting crushed. It hurt a lot. My head was spinning in every possible direction.
Suddenly the trees started moving. They got twisted and made the forest look like a hostile place. The forest became thicker in a few seconds.
I quickly ripped the hem of my dress and tied it around my injured ankle. It took everything in me to stand up and started running, more like limping, in the direction which I thought was leading my home.
I kept running and running till I ran out of my breath. My legs were as heavy as iron. I sucked in a deep breath yet I felt like I was suffocated. Like someone was strangling me.
A growling sound came out of somewhere. Something or someone was chasing me but I couldn't decipher what it was . When I turned around to see what it was, all I could see was two bright green bulbs which were shining brighter than any other ray in the planet.
I balled my fist and felt the blood in all of my capillaries draining to my brain. Hairs on my neck stood straight up because of someone's breath hitting. " I'm dead. That it is world. Goodbye. "
A creature with long hair licked my face. I shut my eyes tightly and screamed at the top of my lungs. " Woof woof" " Woof Woof" " Woof Woof" large drops of sweat were trickling down my face like rain pellets. My heart was beating like crazy.
" Oh hey Gemma, it's u licking my face" I pat her and she snuggles in my chest. She seems to know I'm scared out of my mind. This is her way of comforting me I guess. It's true that dogs can sense emotions.
That dream again. I have been dreaming the same nightmare for like a week. Is it just a nightmare or warning which warn me not to explore the forest which exists behind my house? Specifically since I move to this house. It felt like real every time. May be I need some help and should arrange an appointment with a psychiatrist.
This which I'm living in is my dream house. I've worked my ass of to purchase it. Plus, my parents paid half the price. There is no way I'm selling it back just for some stupid dreams.
I'm a medical technological student. Next year will be my senior year and I'll be graduated as a lab technician. Now I'm enjoying my two month holiday.
First my parents and my brother didn't approve off my transfer since I'm too young to stay alone in the big ass house. So I promise them I'd call everyday and visit at least once a week. Protective much huh?
This house is a gothic style. And too big for only a person to live in. I purchased it because it's in a peaceful town and I want to found a lab all by myself when I'm graduated. I have been a chemistry wizard since I was in high school.
So guys it's a short chapter. What do u think? I know it's not still good enough, but I'd be back with an interesting plot. Hero is the main character. Love u guys.
