Blush

It couldn't be. She couldn't be here.

It was the girl from the shop.

She raised a hand in greeting.

"This is Alice, Lime and Ara," Yooyoung introduced.

Ara was frozen in a state of shock, hand halfway to the popcorn bowl.

"Cool to meet you guys," Yoonjo said, pulling her long, ginger hair out of its ponytail. She made to sit down in the one space that wasn't occupied already, on the left of Ara.

Ara found her face flaming up.

"Are you alright?" Yoonjo asked. She grabbed Ara's wrists and inspected her face. "You look flushed."

"I'm fine," Ara squeaked, feeling herself go even more red at the closeness of their faces. She's even cuter up close.

Yoonjo peered at her with those startlingly big eyes. "Do I know you?" She thought for a moment, still only a centimetre away from Ara's nose, then said, "the shop, this morning."

"That must be it."

"Ohh," Alice said aloud. "Nothing, nothing," she reassured them.

"Ignore her, she's a bit random," Nara laughed.

Yoonjo had thankfully let Ara have her face back, but she pulled the blanket over herself as well.

Ara thought she had three options:

1. Move to another seat.

2. Run screaming to Mars.

3. Endure Yoonjo's proximity.

She decided on the third, because Yoonjo wasn't a bad person. It also felt so good to chat to her, however much it made her blush.

They both reached for the popcorn at the same time and their hands brushed. Ara retracted quickly, but there was no mistaking the tingling.

~~~
Yoonjo insisted on finding out everything about Ara over the course of the next two films. She discovered that she was younger, and that they liked the same music, and Ara never got bored of the sweet voice talking in her ear.
What is this? Ara asked herself. She hated people talking constantly.
Yoonjo's foot skimmed Ara's shin as she stood up. The older girl didn't care by now that they were touching. She was so entranced by the smaller girl that she didn't even notice her cheeks were still on fire.
Yoonjo touched Ara's forehead with the back of her hand and suddenly everyone else had disappeared. It was just them, spinning around in a bubble of their own. "I think you have a temperature," Yoonjo said.
"Really?" Ara asked, looking up at her.
Yoonjo felt Ara's burning cheek, nodded and exited the room in search of pyjamas.
"Ara, do you fancy her?" Alice said immediately.
"The bigger question is, Ara are you gay?" Lime corrected her. They all looked at Ara expectantly.
"I'm going to get dressed," Ara said. She stood up.
"Have fun..." Yooyoung said, waving.
Ara locked herself in the bathroom and quickly changed into her own, frilly pyjamas. They were pink, and she'd always loved them, but what if Yoonjo laughed at the little cartoon cat on the sleeve?
She brushed her long, brown hair out, willing for it not to get messed up in the night.
How long had it taken for Ara to accept that she was fast falling in love with Yoonjo? Around how long it had taken for the younger girl to open her mouth.
Yoonjo was just so perfect.
