"Ara," Yoonjo said, with those big eyes fixed on her new friend, "why do the others call you Cupid?"
"Because her life's ambition is to set us up with the right people," Alice said, beaming. "It worked for Nara, alright."
"Minhyun's just my next-door neighbour's friend," Ara said, embarassed.
"And she's setting me up with Ren!" Lime said, falling over the sofa as gracefully as she could.
Yoonjo smiled widely. "Maybe you could set me up with someone?" she asked, winking.
"Yeah, of course." Ara's face was flaming up again. Of course Yoonjo didn't like her, they were both girls. I'm not anywhere near as pretty as her, she added to herself. Her heart felt like it was trying to tear itself out of her chest. "What, um, is your type then?"
"I'll get back to you on that," Yoonjo said. Her expression was unreadable.
Once the others went to order pizza, Alice poked Ara in the back and wiggled her eyebrows.
"What?" Ara hissed.
"She likes you."
"No, she doesn't."
"She likes you, Ara." Alice began tickling the younger girl until Ara fell to the ground.
"Stop it!" Ara squealed, but the relentless tickling continued. "Get off me!"
"Guys, get a room," Nara said, coming back into the room with a computer and Yoonjo. "Preferably not one of ours."
Ara stuck out her bottom lip. "She was tickling me."
"Shall we just order?" Yoonjo asked, awkwardly.
In movies it always seems that the characters pick up the phone and the pizza just comes to the door. In reality, Nara stared at the computer screen for a while, wondering which button turns it on. The pizza-ordering process was extremely slow, as each person wanted a different topping.
"I'll just go with cheese," Ara sighed.
"Yeah, me too," Yoonjo agreed.
Alice stared at them. "How can you eat such boring toppings! I give up!" She pointed a finger accusingly at Nara. "If you don't order me pepperoni I will get you back."
Yoonjo burst out laughing. "Your friends are priceless. I'm so glad I met them."
Ara admired Yoonjo's profile secretly. She didn't care if that meant she was interested in girls or not, but she was most definitely interested in this girl.
Yoonjo's sweet lips pouted and she cocked her head to one side. "Are you okay, Ara?"
"Hungry," Ara replied automatically.
"Hey, that's my job," Nara giggled.
Ara went into a daydream about feeling Yoonjo's lips. No, wait, she thought, alarmed. Just because I like her a bit, doesn't mean I want to kiss her or anything...she's not interested in me, anyway.
She wondered how she could have fallen for this girl so quickly. Then didn't bother. Love was a mysterious thing, and there was no point trying to decipher it. Only to ride it.
