The cold breeze flowed through her hair and brought chills upon her skin. She was sitting on her porch, enjoying the few moments of loneliness before daily routine took over again.
She watched as the sun set, the sky gradually turning from bright orange to dark blue. "Mom?" she heard the voice of her daughter calling. She turned around and saw the little girl in her adorable, pink pajamas, holding a story book under her armpit.
"Will you read me a bedtime story?" the girl pleaded with her eyes. She always enjoyed a bedtime story. "I'll be there in a sec baby. Go to bed." Silvia gave her five-year-old daughter a nurturing smile and the girl skipped back inside joyfully.
Silvia enjoyed a few more seconds of silence before she followed the path to her daughter's bedroom.
---
"She's asleep." she whispered walking into the living room. "You wanna watch a movie?" Jongho offered and she nodded, sitting on he lap and giving him a passionate kiss.
"Let's watch that new horror movie." she said and gave him another kiss before he managed to protest her decision.
Jongho, now defeated, surfed through the horror movie section until he found the one Silvia wanted to watch. He hesitantly clicked on the title and the movie started.
They snuggled under a warm blanket and enjoyed the movie.
Halfway in, the doorbell rang and Jongho went to answer the door. Silvia heard murmuring so she went to see what was happening.
"Babe what's going o-" her breath hitched and her jaw dropped seeing that the person who was standing at the door was Seokjin.
"Seokjin?" she mumbled unable to understand what was happening.
"You can't just come back like that!" Jongho raised his voice annoyed. After all this time he was still worried that Silvia's love for Seokjin threatened their marriage.
"I need to talk to her." Seokjin said not taking his eyes off Silvia.
"You should leave." Jongho threatened and then nudged Silvia. "Tell him." he asked but Silvia didn't ask Seokjin to leave, instead, she invited him in.
"I wanna hear what he has to say." she explained and that upset Jongho even more. "Whatever, I'm leaving." he said frustrated before grabbing his car keys and leaving their house.
Seokjin and Silvia stared at each other's eyes for a while, unable to find words to speak. They finally found the courage to embraces each other in a hug but suddenly, a hesitant voice startled both of them and made them look towards the hallway.
"Mom?"
