Hello humans. The name, obviously, is Alex. Nothing original, just... Alex. Actually, it's Alex Nathaniel Smith. Really simple, and very, very generic. It kinda pisses me off, to be honest. I really want an original name, like Annaliese and Lilian do. Those are my two female best friends. Oh, who am I kidding; they're my only friends. So, my best friends. Ugh, I swear to the infinities that I'm not being a jellyfish. I call people that sometimes. Because most of those fuckers are jellyfish.

I have a really hard time at home. My mom and dad are abusive, and I've tried calling the police, like a lot, but they basically refuse to do anything about it, because my mom is the senator for something important. I'm not supposed to say what it is. It involves a bunch of political legal bullshit. My dad's name is Chris, and my mom's is Maddie. My mom tried to set my room on fire when I was six. Harsh, I know. But my dad told her there was no need to go that far. Asshole.

I had pretty much been lonely all my life, until I met Lily. We were in second grade, and she had just moved here. She was adorable when she was seven. I'm a year older than her, so I was eight at the time. I got held back by my parents, because they felt like I wasn't trying hard enough in first grade. I was six goddamn years old. Anyway, I thought she looked really interesting. She didn't pay attention in class a lot, but that's only because she's really smart. Lily was always reading or drawing. Which, by the way, she's really good at both.

When I walked up to her, it was outside on the playground after lunch. At the barred dome, where like, nobody ever was. Anyway, I climbed up behind her, and dropped my upper body down in front of her. I guess I really scared her, because she dropped the book she was reading, and just kind of stared at me. I threw a drawing I made at her, and said "I'm Alex." She opened it and smiled really big, and, with that playful smirk on her face, said "Guess you already know who I am." Then, she folded the paper and put it in her book. The drawing was a flower, a lily.

We met Annaliese together a year later. It was an awkward reunion. Liese and Lily are both really pretty, and they're like my sisters... kinda. In a way. I'm supposed to meet them at the beach in a little, so, I guess that's that. Later.
