Quarter Horses

The Quarter horse is one of he most famous breeds in the Us. The quarter horse is used to race from short distances and powerful sharp turns. The quarter horse has springy elastic paces make this breed one of the best horses for any equestrian riding. When a quarter is a yearling it shows the enthusiasm and the intelligence that the breed has. The quarter horse has thoroughbred blood mixed into to their family blood line. The quarter horse has speed and is a good sized horse. Was often used in western riding and in English for jumping. Quarter horses were mostly bred on ranches. The breed was bred from the Spanish. The name takes from the quarter races they run and from how their legs spring like a quarter. Colors are usually chestnut, grey and black.
