(I'm doing this from memory as I can't be bothered to find my Lord of the Fleas book that I lost about a week ago)
Meanwhile, at the police station, it was a normal day for Chief. He was expecting Dog Man to bust through the door, as usual, and start doing his same silly dance as he always does.
Then, the phone of wonder started to ring.
DRING DRING
"Hello?"
"There's been a jail escape!"
"Where?"
"At the jail."
"Oh."
Chief felt dumb enough to slap himself for the obvious question. "I'll put my best man on it!" He proudly ended, as he put the phone down. "DOG MAN!!!" Chief called.
Nobody was there.
Instead, a red haired cop called Milly came through the door. "Dog Man's late for work again, Chief," she explained. Chief was mad, and dialled Dog Man's number.
Meanwhile, Dog Man, 80-HD and Li'l Petey were just heading into the house after you left, when DM's phone began to buzz.
"DOG MAN!!"
"YOUR LATE FOR WORK AGAIN!!"
"GET DOWN HERE!!"
Chief yelled at him.
This made the feline jump, as he rushed out the door. "Dog Man! Wait!" Li'l Petey called. DM licked his furry friend on the head as if to say goodbye, then zoomed off into the distance.
"Never mind.."
On the way there, Dog Man saw a squirrel and started chasing it, as any typical dog would do. It was his instinct.

Chief and Milly had just gotten out of the police car, as they reached cat jail. "Where's Dog Man?" Chief asked.
"Probably off chasing squirrels again!" Milly stated. Chief sighed. At least he could skip being used as a dance floor.
The two cops looked around as they could here some screams off "I'LL SAVE YA!!" and "Let us join you!" They also looked up to a see a giant robo-brontosaurus.
"What is going on in there?" Milly asked in a confused tone. "And who escaped?"
They both shared a look, then looked forward.
"FREEZE, SUCKAZ!" They both yelled, breaking down some bars with their feet.

About half and hour later, Crunky, Bub and Piggy were laid down, dazed, in front of cat jail.
beside them stood Sarah Hatoff, the world's greatest reporter. "So, how did you do it?" She asked, in the middle of a news report. Milly and Chief both stood proud at what they accomplished. "Well, first of all they attacked us first..." Milly sighed.
"Let's roll the clip!" Sarah exclaimed, as a flip-o-rama appeared, of the three crooks hurting Milly and Chief.
"Then, we attacked back.." Chief continued.
"WITH THE POWER OF BOOKS!!"
"Let's roll the clip!" Sarah exclaimed again.
A flip-o-rama appeared, showing the two cops smack the baddies with their books, leading up to now.
"Wow! Good job!" Sarah congratulated. Chief sighed. "I just wish that Dog Man was here.." Milly looked around. "Like I said before, he's off chasing squirrels again!"
Chief dialled Dog Man's number again, as the feline's phone rang.
DRING DRING
DM picked it up.
"Dog Man!!"
"Your STILL late!!"
"Get here RIGHT NOW!!"
Dog Man panicked, then rushed off at an incredible speed.

Later, DM finally arrived. "Oh, look! There he is now!" Sarah exclaimed, as the half-dog half-man ran towards Chief, his tongue out his mouth.
"WAIT— NO!!!"
And yet again, Dog Man did the same silly dance as he always did. Poor Chief was getting too tired of this.
"GET OFF!!"
"STOP IT!!"
"MMFMMF!!"
"QUIT IT!!"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!!"
"BAD DOGGY!!"
That was the one thing that offended DM. He got called it Every. Single. Time.
Meanwhile, the three crooks had run off in there robo-brontosaurus, whilst Milly exclaimed "Their getting away!"
Chief and Dog Man looked there in surprise. When DM turned around, Chief was so mad there was literal smoke coming out of his ears.
"HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS?!?"
"YOU DANCE ON ME, AND THE BAD GUYS GET AWAY!!" (I just realised that's For Whom The Ball Rolls.. :p)
"GO HOME, DOG MAN!!"
"But Chief—"
"Sorry, Milly. He has to learn his lesson," Chief explained. Sarah was catching up with the crooks for an exclusive interview.
"Now we have to catch those three again!"
