It was a nice Saturday evening. Five-year-old Maria was walking around the park with her parents. After breathing in the fresh air they decided to go to the mall to buy some groceries or something Maria needed. While Maria's parents were walking around, they didn't notice that Maria started to wander around. She smelled something delicious and walked around until she found the source of the smell, the bakery. Maria decided to walk in to look at all the delicious food. The owner of the bakery saw Maria and called out "Well hello there, kiddo. Where see your parents?". Maria didn't realise that her parents were nowhere near her and she started to cry. The owner quickly walked over to her and offered her a cookie to calm the child down. Maria ate the cookie while sniffing, slightly calmed down. "What's your name, kiddo?" asked the owner, "Maria" replied the child. "That's a lovely name, I'm Anne Laurens" said Anne, she lead her to the back room of the bakery to give her more privacy. "Do you know where your parents are, Maria?" asked Anne. "No" replied Maria still sniffing. "OK, have some more cookies while I try find your parents" said Anne while placing down a plate full of chocolate chip cookies. While Maria ate the cookies she started to feel sleepy, the last thing she heard before she fell asleep was "You're just cute that I could just bake you into a cookie". Meanwhile, Maria's parents were walking around trying to find Maria. After a hour, they walked into the bakery and asked the owner if she had seen their daughter, "I'm sorry but I hadn't seen your daughter anywhere but I'll keep a look out for her" said Anne, the parents thanked her and decided to buy cookies for Maria because they knew she loves cookies, the cookie they bought was called "Maria's Chocolate & Strawberry cookie". They walked around the mall until they decided to call the police. The whole day they spent trying to find Maria but to no avail. The police told them that they would contact them if they found anything about their child and they went home. They decided to eat the cookies because they didn't eat anything while searching for Maria and they were to exhausted and sad to cook anything but what they didn't know was that they were actually eating their daughter when they ate the cookies.
