I can't focus on anything today

I can't focus on anything today. Mon-El and Winn along with the rest of the Legion came back from the future because of a new threat. For whatever reason I can't stop thinking about him... and looking at him. Whenever he's not looking I catch myself staring at him. I miss feeling him hold me and kiss me at night. I miss that feeling of happiness every time he's near me. I miss us.

I think I accidentally ended up staring a little too long because our eyes meet from across the center table in the DEO. I love hearing him talk about being a hero and seeing him be a leader. I always knew he was going to become. Before I let my eyes linger too long, I look down to the ground avoiding his eyes. But all I can focus on is how they are such a deep, gray and blue shade that makes me shiver. We both look down to not make anything more difficult for each other. We know we can't be together because it can't work out, so we have to keep our distance somehow.

He clears his throat and begins, "Alright let's get to work on finding this threat before anything gets worse." His eyes travel back over to mine for a second.

Along with everyone else, I go off to continue with my day. I decide to go to the training room to work out some steam and piece together the wreckage that is my life. Punching solid pieces of steel is very relaxing to me when I can't think. I need to somehow be able to think straight when I'm around him, if that's even possible.

After about a few minutes of being in the training room, I hear the door open. I quickly turn to see Mon-El entering and take a breath in.

"Hey." He says and walks closer to me.

"Hey." I reply in a similar tone.

"We haven't gotten to talk since I've been back. Maybe we can train together and talk about things." He offers to me. I smile a little and nod.

"I'd like that." Our eyes lock again, for only a second. I put my arms up to get into fighting stance as he gets ready too. We go at it and dodge some punches.

I always loved training with Mon-El before he left the first time. It made me very happy to see him learning how to use his powers and how to be a hero. After he came back, it was him who was teaching me some new things from the future. It was also a pretty guilty pleasure of mine to see him in his suit that mimicked mine. The red really suits him and he did always want the big, heavy cape.

After some time of training, he uses his cape tricks on me and loops his cape around my ankle. I twist up in the air and end up falling back down on the ground. I roll over on my back to see him standing over me smirking.

"Haha cape tricks." He chuckles playing with his cape.

"So that's how we're gonna play this?" I smirk back teasing him. I use my leg to hook onto his and in a second he falls down hovering over me. He is inches away from me and I can feel my lips tingling, just aching for him. Our eyes lock once again as our laughter stops.

"Uh- here I'll help you up." He says as he begins to stand up from his position. His hand is extended out to grab mine. He pulls me up to him very fast, fast enough for me to be pulled directly into him. We're again too close to one another, too close to keep away.

His eye line shifts down to my lips while mine traces his. His hand, that was holding my arm, travels to my waist as we slowly lean in towards each other. His lips brush against mine sending chills up and down my back.

"Comets." He whispers against me. I can't take it anymore. I need him, I need us. Our lips press together hard as I let my hands explore his chest and arms. I can feel his everything through his tight suit. He grabs my waist and pulls me into him more, if that's even possible.

We move together in perfect harmony with more passion and need than I've ever felt. I need more but these suits are very constructing of that. He starts to pull away once he realizes that too after trying to pull it off. Instead, our foreheads press together as we catch our breath. We just hold each other in a comfortable silence.

He's the first to break this by saying, "I've been wanting to do that for a long time." I giggle at that a little knowing that he's been waiting for over nine years, but for me it's been around two. I only just realized that I haven't even kissed anyone else since our last kiss together before he left. Fortunately, that just makes this even more special.

"Me too." I replay back smiling up at him. My fingers are playing with the hairs at the back of his neck when I feel a small chain around him. I go to take it out and I see my mother's necklace that I gave to him before he left the first time. My finger rubs over the small, blue stone for a second before I look up at him. His eyes never leave mine as he tries to figure out my expression. "You kept this? After nine years you still have the necklace?"

"Even after nine years there isn't one day that I haven't thought about you. The necklace means a lot to me because you mean the world to me." His voice became low and soft like he doesn't know how I'm going to react to his confession.

"I love you." I say without thinking. "Do you still love me?" My heart races as I hope to Roa that his feeling for me didn't fade over the years.

"I will always love you. Forever." He pushes a piece of my hair behind my ear. I'm the happiest I've ever been with a huge smile plastered on my face. I reach my hand up to his face and pull him down to me. This kiss, however, is not so urgent, but instead soft and tender. When we pull away, we decide to go out to be heroes.
