... When will this get easier? it has only began and I want to go back to the simpler times, that were apparently twenty years ago...
I started to get a headache from all this thinking.
Luke had suggested I start school at his collage, but hear is the catch. I have to come up with all new things. Like what's my new birthday is, and all that jazz.
So Luke got me looking up different people who can get me the forged papers set up. Just for the record I am against that little idea.
After blowing up at Luke, I went to think. I didn't get too far from that. Only opened up new questions on top of the unanswered ones.
I came up with all the information I needed. A new name. Check. A birthday. Check. New birth parents. Check. All I need to do is find someone to type up the information onto 'legal' documents.
"So my new name is Grace Ann Mathews. I was born on February 6, 1998. My birth parents are unknown, so I was adopted by Mike, and Elizabeth Forester. Am I getting this right?" I asked Luke, who was standing in the doorway. "Yeah, I think so. Just remember your new name and get accustomed to go by it now. Memorize everything."
A week later I was walking down the street, when this old lady walked up to me. "Is it really you?" she asked me, with disbelief. The old lady looked familiar.
She was looking at me like she found her long lost sister or something. "Ugh who are you?" I tried to say it in a nice way, but I do t think I did a good job at it because her face fell. "My name is Beth." She said in her braking voice.
"Hello Beth. I'm grace." She scanned over my face and her frowned deepened.
She looked at me with suspicion written all over her face.
Then all emotion was whipped off her face and was replaced with a easy going smile.
"Do you know anyone by the name if Erica Blackwell?" the little old lady asked. I smiled kindly. "Would you believe me if i said I new where Erica Blackwell was right now?" I asked her.
"I don't know sweetie. she has been gone for a very long time now. I have gotten use to the idea that she was dead." She said wearily, but you could see the hope in her clear gray eyes.
"Do you have any information that I can contact you with if I want to get in touch?" I asked her with a small smile.
I left after she gave me her phone number and her email address.
I walked Down to the local hospital to get more information.
When I walked into the hospital the receptionists asked what I needed. "Hi do you have any files for Erica Blackwell?" I asked the plump lady.
"No we don't I'm sorry. try another hospital." She said, after looking the information up. "Sorry I wasn't clear enough. she would if been in the files over twenty years ago." I said getting aggravated.
"Why would you want to see those!?" age asked with a lite more interest. I made up a quick lie in my head.
"You see, she was my great aunt and I never got to meat her. She died young. And I wanted to get more information on why she died. Can you please look her up?"
The receptionist couldn't find anything in her files for that name. She said that they only had files going back eleven years they lost the rest. "Thanks anyway. " I called out as I was leaving.
When I walked out of the hospital it was dark out. I was going to go to the jail tomorrow. I started walking home. I got to the street Luke lives on. When inward inside the house something was off.
The door was unlocked like always ,but the house had a darker vibe to it. Then I realized something. The decor was changed.
