Chapter 25

Starting Line

"Mom, I'm going crazy... I can't take it anymore... Every day, the children seem to become more and more like him... "

Walking down the road, Shoto recalls what his mother said that day.

"Shoto's... That child's left side sometimes looks very hideous to me..."

As he passed by many people, he only looked down on the road.

"I can't raise him anymore... I feel like I shouldn't... "

As he reached the hospital, he stopped for a moment, looking at the building. He entered and walked towards the reception area.

Ever since that day, I thought my presence would only put pressure on Mom. So I never went to see her...

After asking for the room number, he go up the floor and stopped at room 315, where his mother is in.

I'm sure she continues to be bound by me.. by dad.. That's why in order to aim to become a hero,  again with this body,  with everything I have...

He stood there for seconds.. After deciding, he slowly raised his hands to the door handle...  Sighing, he drew his hand back.

"it's okay for you to become who you want to be. "

He grabbed the handle, and pushed it to the sides, light seeps out as the door opened. Seeing his mother sitting on the bed, while staring outside.

In order to become my ideal hero, I need to see and talk to her. There's so much we need to talk about...

"Mom, "

Rei slowly looked at him, seeing her, his mouth shut closed, not knowing what to say.. He stepped forward, making his decision.

This is my starting line.

After that day...

As they got their break after the Sports Festival of UA High, Shoto begin to visit his mother... Talking about things that happened after she was admitted to the hospital.

"That's good then, " her soft voice surrounded the small room, "I thought she would be too busy to visit you."

After talking about his only friend through those years, his Mom replied those words, "But I've done something wrong to her... But she never mentioned it."

Shoto recall those words that makes her cry...

"Please leave... "

"Why don't you visit her then? " Rei said, smiling, she continued, "I'm sure she would be glad... "

"...See.. her... " Shoto became speechless for a while. Right... how come he never thought of visiting her?

"I can recall their adress." his mother said and smiled, "Say hello for me. I wanted to see her too..."
