This is just GREAT.
Jean watched cautiously as Avdol and Joseph were idly chatting and eating their sushi, hoping, wishing that neither of the two spotted him and his sister. It had been around 5 minutes of silence between Jean and Sherry before she finally decided to speak up about their current predicament.
"Look, why don't we just go over there, say hi and then leave? That way we wont seem rude and you can possibly go over and-" the frantic man cut her off with a loud "Sh!" and a motion for her to be quiet. Sherry didn't appreciate that one bit and she decided that she had enough of her brothers cowardice and reluctance to go and say hi himself. Jean watched on in horror as his little sister got up from the table and stormed over to where the two men were sitting, a determined look on her face. Jean felt sick.
He heard Joseph exclaim a happy "Sherry!" when she eventually made herself known to the two and Jean knew that this was going to end very awkwardly for him. Swallowing down a few mouthfuls of water, giving his hair a once over and lightly slapping his cheeks to make sure he wasn't in some kind of nightmare, Jean finally turned around to face the group only to find that he couldn't see any of them. "Wha-"
"Jean! I didn't know you two were already here!" Jean felt the words shake through him and jumped a little as he turned around to face the group that had somehow made their way over to his table without him knowing.
Merde.
"Yeah... uh hey" he said slowly, moving his eyes towards his sister and glaring pointedly at her, which she returned albeit a lot more smugly. He wished he didn't love his sister so much in this very moment. Sherry motioned for him to move over so that the other two could slide into their booth, Sherry sitting across from Jean and Joseph sliding in to sit beside his sister. "Oh no, that means..." Jeans thoughts trailed off as he felt the warm heat of another body next to his, however this body was significantly warmer then most. He shut his eyes momentarily, wondering how he had become such a mess from meeting one handsome stranger.
Jean eventually opened his eyes and tried extremely hard to not look at the man currently situated next to him, doing nothing more then to offer up a polite "Hey" when addressed by Avdol as he sat down. All Jean could feel was his heart pounding in his ears which in turn made it alot harder to hear when Sherry started calling his name.
"-ean, Jean? Jean!" he momentarily startled yet again, fiddling with his fingers under the table, embarrassed that he can't seem to think straight at all with the person of his strange and very new desires sitting right next to him. He responded with a small grunt and the frustrated girl sighed in return, looking at him like she's almost had enough of his bullshit.
"I said, can you pass some menus to everyone, I'm still hungry" he nodded in reply and gave everyone a menu and actually looked at Avdol rather then ignoring him this time, knowing how rude that would be and felt his face redden even more when he saw amber pools of whiskey coloured eyes staring right at him in warm anticipation. He tried and failed miserably to say "here you go" the words instead falling short and being replace by a hitched breath and star struck eyes. "Tu es beau" he said heatedly, his face resembling that of the head of a matchstick that had been lit, and feeling equally as hot.
The man on the receiving end of Jeans affections simply took the offered menu and responded in kind "Merci Jean, tu es très belle toi-même" he chuckled to himself and gave Jean a quick wink before moving back to look at the other two who seemed almost stunned by the interaction, especially Sherry as her face portrayed a similar blush as her currently bumbling brothers but the emotion on her face was clearly one of second hand embarrassment.
Joseph tried to relieve the table of its near awkward tension by striking up casual conversation as being the only non multilingual person at the table he didnt understand what just happened, but Jean had other plans of which involved him staring dreamily at a plate of sashimi, no doubt not actually thinking of the sashimi. "Wow he said I was beautiful... How do I even respond to that? Sherry help meeee" his silent pleading had no effect on his sister who was more then happy to sit at the table and chat with the other two men, her cheeks still a little rosy from watching the train wreck that was her brothers attempt at keeping himself under control.
