His eyelids felt heavy, in fact, his whole body felt as if gravity had suddenly increased tenfold, the only thing not at all affected by this sudden urge to drop to the floor was the large grin Jean was sporting for all the world to see. His cheeks felt warm with a subtle and welcomed heat, his mind filled with thoughts of a golden sun and deep, caring eyes that showed the world and all he held dear. A giddy rumble escaped him as he acknowledged the person currently to his right yelling at him to get back to work. He nodded dumbly and continued to wipe down a table that he had been attempting to clean for the past 10 minutes.

A few more minutes passed by before he was called over to the staff room, a frustrated looking Jotaro glaring at him when he finally reached the door frame. "Yes Mr.Grumpypants?" Jean joked, leaning lazily against one of the staff rooms walls. There was a moment of silence that filled the room before a sigh escaped the teen. Jotaro beckoned the air headed Frenchman to the staffs table, sitting down in a chair himself and folding his arms across his chest. "What the hell is wrong with you today?" Jotaro tried for the blunt approach, like with most things, which earned him a scoff and a faux offended tone "Well Mr.FrustraightedWithEveryone, nothing is, as you say "the hell" wrong with me, i'm just happy is all. Why? Is my good mood affecting your sulking?" Jean smirked, knowing that his teasing wouldn't get a rise out of the teen, but still more then happy to tease him regardless.

His teasing did however earn him another one of Jotaros famous sighs and a halfhearted glare. "You're not working as well as usual and its a pain in my ass 'cause I have to pick up the slack" he spoke, his arms still crossed but his back now leaning relaxed against the chair. Jean knew he was right, but couldn't find it in himself to feel guilty or bad about it. How could he? Its been a week since he and Avdol confessed their feelings for one another and he'd just had one of the best days of his life yesterday, cuddled up snugly against his boyfriend -BOYFRIEND?!?!?-, warmth pressed firmly at his back and binge watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S while eating snacks, oh, and the little pecks and kisses didn't hurt either. The thing that made him the saddest was when he left to go home, annoyed that he had an early shift today and all his things were at his apartment. That apparently didn't stop his cheerful demeanour though.

"Can't a man be happy for no reason?" Polnareff leaned his heavy head on a swaying palm, his lips quirked upwards into another telling smile. "Considering the past few weeks you'd been moping about not being able to fuck the, what was it? "Egyptian god" or something like that, I'd say your mood the past week is starkly different. So I'm guessing something happened after we all left the poker night" Jotaro smirked at Jeans indignant sputtering, his face being ignited with a feeling of mortified embarrassment, something that was quickly becoming a constant in his life. "tu es un putain de connard. Let me guess, Kak told you? I'm going to kick his ass the next time I see him" Sighing, Jean drummed his fingers absently against the tabletop, playing with a loose strand of hair at the nape of his neck with his other hand "Not that it's any of your business, but-" He was swiftly cut off by Jotaro holding a hand out in front of his face "You're right, it's none of my business, and frankly I don't want to know the details of you two going at it but, I'm happy for you, even if your happiness makes you a nightmare to work with" he punctuated this by standing up, combing his fingers through his hair and turning away, presumably to get back to work.

Jean couldn't help the small smile that made its way onto his face. For such a scary looking guy, Jotaro was sweet in his own ways.

The bell above the door gave its regular chime, alerting everyone to the new presence in the room and Jean felt his heart skip a beat when the man of his affections walked through holding what looked to be a single red rose. Jean would deny until the end of his days that a tear welled in the corner of his eye at the sight. The broom he was holding was discarded against a wall, the end of day cleaning being momentarily forgotten as he walked on wobbly feet over to Avdol, who looked all to pleased with himself from the reaction he got from Jean. Avdol gently swept a thumb underneath Jeans eye and then moved in to place a soft kiss against it, pulling back slightly and resting his head against the others. "You're so easy to please" the taller of the two murmured, feeling a pleasant thrum go through his body from the closeness. "Oh ferme la. It's your fault for being such a sap I mean, a rose? You're a dork" Jean whined, staring pointedly into the others eyes, unable to keep the corners of his lips from rising.
