I had a dream ~ Part 1

{in this part, you will be in Xowie's perspective}

I'm worth nothing. I'm alone. All I've got is my dad, not even Benji anymore. I decide that I don't want him anymore, he's not worth it. I pick up my phone and ring him. He answers.
~
Benji- Hey ba-
Xowie- No no no. Never call me that. I only called you for one reason, and one reason only. I called to say I think you're not worth it. I called to say you're an idiot. I called to say we're over.
Benji- Pfft. Like I care.
I cut the call off.

I cried for what felt like days, months, maybe even years, until my dad came in.
Xowie's Dad- What wrong sweetheart?
I sniffle.
Xowie- Benji, that's what's wrong. He's the problem.
Xowie's Dad- What's he done?
Xowie- Hurt me and my friend. He's fake. He's toxic. He's self absorbent.
My dad embraces me in a tight hug.
Xowie- I want a boyfriend, I feel really lonely since my friends have partners. I feel like I'm the odd one out.
He shakes his head.
Xowie's Dad- If you really want one, I could perhaps take you to see the new boy in town?
I nod my head.
Xowie- Yes please! It's worth a shot.

We walk out of the house, hand in hand. He takes me to my favourite drinks place: Starbucks.
Xowie's Dad- What helps is I'm friends with the lad's dad. I'll text him to meet me here. When he does, me and his dad will leave then it'll just be you two ok.
I look at him.
Xowie- Thank you so much dad, I don't know what I'd do without you!
                                             ~
They arrive. The butterflies in my stomach come to life and flutter around it. It makes me feel nervous and sick, but I ignore it.
Xowie's Dad- Hey! Long time no see!
His friend nods his head in agreement.
Xowie's Dad- Xowie, I'd like you to meet Chase and his dad.
I force myself to talk, I was so nervous.
Xowie- Hey, it's nice to meet you.
Chase- It's nice to meet you to!
Chase's Dad- Right, we're going. Hope you two have fun and we'll see you soon.
He waves his dad goodbye and I do the same to mine.
Chase- Should we go order?
Xowie- Yes, lets go!
                                             ~
I try to go up to get myself a drink but he wouldn't let me.
Chase- Come on, let me get drinks. It's my treat.
I blush.
Xowie- Can you get me a Mango Iced Tea please.
Chase- Of course!
He walks off to the queue.
I pull out my phone and text Benji.
                                             ~
Xowie- I'm over you, and you better be over me. And don't think for one minute I'll let you in the squad. After everyone's heard about this, you'll have no one.
                          *you have blocked Benji*
                            *tap here to unblock*

I shut off my phone. Chase walks over with the drinks.
Chase- Here you go.
Xowie- Thanks!
Chase- No problem.
Did he just wink at me? I felt flattered in a way. He'd only just met me.
Chase- Well you know my name, I don't know yours.
Xowie- My name is Xowie.
Chase- Cute name!
I blush again.
Chase- Well, lets get to know eachother.
I can tell he wants me. He's coming on pretty quick if you ask me.
Xowie- Well what should I tell you?
Chase- Anything you're comfortable telling me! No pressure.
I beam a smile at him. He beams one back.
Xowie- Don't go spreading this around ok.
Chase- Alright.
I let out a big sigh.
Xowie- I've been abused before. My mum did it. Then I've just broke up with the most toxic boy I've ever met.

His jaw drops.
Chase- Who could do such a thing to you? I mean, you look amazing and seem extremely nice.
Xowie- Really? You mean it?
Chase- Of course I do! Look, if I didn't like you I'd already be out the door.
He reaches his hand to mine and I grab it. We walk out with our drinks in our right hands, and our left ones holding onto each other.
Chase- Where to now my lady?
I giggle at him.
Xowie- Well I don't really know. Should we just walk around and see what we find?
Chase- Yeah, I like the sound of that.

Xowie- You know a bit about me, so I need to know a bit about you.
Chase- Well, I moved from Florida to New York. I left some of my childhood friends. And then we decided to come here: California!
Xowie- By any chance, do you know these people, Milo Winter and Noen Eubanks?
He looks excited.
Chase- Yes I do, are they here in California?
Xowie- Indeed they are.
He looks so happy, it's really cute!
                                            ~
A few hours pass by. Then all of a sudden, out of the blue, my phone rings. It was my dad.
Xowie- I better get this.
I answer it.
                                             ~
Xowie- Hey dad!
Xowie's Dad- Hey sweetie. Could you make your way back to Starbucks please.
Xowie- Yeah, we are coming now!
                                             ~
I hang up.
Chase- Do we have to go back where we came from.
I nod my head.
Chase- Well you best give me your number quick then.
I giggle at him. He passes over his phone and I dial my number in.
Xowie- Promise to text me.
Chase- I promise.
We arrive at Starbucks.
                                               ~
We greet our dads and head of different ways. My dad and I walk off to the right, they walk off to the left.
Xowie's Dad- Well how was it?
Xowie- Amazing! Thank you so much!
Xowie's Dad- No problem!
