~New Beginnings~

(Nobody's POV)

It felt as if you had been driving forever even though you knew it had only been about an hour. You're on your way to Beach City, the place you had lived until you were about 5 then, your parents found a better house. Now that you're 16 you finally decided you wanted to go back to Beach City to stay for a while and see what had happened between now and then.

(Y/n's POV)

"Finally.." i let out a huge sigh "I'm finally here.." I was finally in Beach City and I had parked at The Big Donut, a place i went to a lot when I was younger. "Wow The Big Donut hasn't changed at all" I looked at the building and remembered how often I used to go there, I smiled at the memories. I looked at the rest of town "well somethings have changed.." i saw a kind of town with strange looking people(?) (they're gems btw) in it.

I got out of the car and walked inside The Big Donut. The inside hadn't really changed either. I looked over and I noticed a boy who was ordering donuts, he looked about my age, decently tall, curly blackish brown hair, and he wore a pink varsity jacket. "he looks so familiar" I thought. "Oh, hello!" The boy was talking to me. He had turned around and he kind of bumped into me, not knowing I was there. "H-hi! Sorry I shouldn't have been so close behind you" I let out an awkward laugh..wow what a great first impression y/n. "No no it's not your fault," the boy let out a small laugh "where are my manners? I'm Steven Universe, you are?" "Oh I'm f/n L/n nice to meet you Steven!"
"Sooo" Steven started "What brings you to Beach City, I cant recall ever seeing you around here before" You caught yourself staring at him "oh! I-I used to live here...when I was a kid.."
"Oh" Steven said "well do you have a place to stay? It's supposed to rain soon" he sounded a bit concerned "No I didn't really think about that I guess" i let out a laugh, it was kind of an awkward laugh but not really. "Well you can stay at my house for the night if you want! And tomorrow I can show you everything that's changed in Beach City!" He sounded really enthusiastic about this and I didn't want to let him down, besides he seemed like he was a nice guy "that's sounds great!"
