 Also, this entire chapter is pretty much a spoiler for Steven Universe the Movie. You can read this without having watched, but you'll probably be really confused.

Being Found

Spinel sighed as she sat by the lighthouse at beach city. It felt like forever since she had tried to destroy this planet. 

Spinel had come back to Earth for a tiny break from the diamonds. After what happened with Pink they are a tad (more like extremely) protective. White Diamond herself almost came down to Earth with Spinel. It took everything Spinel had to convince White to stay on Homeworld.

Spinel heard a cry and jumped to her feet and quickly started looking around. Despite what happened with Pink and the garden Spinel still loved to make people laugh, and had taken up the job of an entertainer back on Homeworld. 

It took a bit of hide and seek with sound for Spinel to find what was the cause of the cries, but when she did she just stared in confusion. In a basket with a thin blanket wrapped around them was a small human with (S/C), (H/C) and (E/C). 

"Well golly, why are ya' crying?" Spinel asked as she picked you up.

You looked up at the pink gem with tear stained cheeks and puffy eyes. Spinel tilted her head as her face formed a frown. "Ya' got left here didn't ya'?" Spinel asked.

It was almost like you could understand her as you started letting tears fall once again. "Don't worry little lady, I'll take care of ya'!" Spinel said with a smile on her face. 

She walked away from the light house with you in her arms, mumbling a small tune. "Someday, somewhere, somehow, you'll love again~"

Your Name

Spinel could barely contain her excitement as she arrived at Little Homeschool.    

"Steven!" Spinel yelled excitedly as she ran up to the human gem hybrid. 

"Oh, hello Spinel!" Steven greeted the pink gem. 

Steven had noticed that Spinel was holding something, however it was concealed from view. "Spinel, what are you holding?" Steven asked. 

Spinel got even more excited from the question as she got onto one knee. "Steven Universe, I present to you.....You're child." Spinel said, revealing you to Steven, cracking up and giggling in the process. 

Steven's jaw dropped. "You found a baby!?" He yelled, causing a few gems at little Homeworld to turn his way. 

Spinel's laughter suddenly went away at the discovery of a new word. "So that's what their called." Spinel said in awe. 

"Spinel...Where did you find them?" Steven's eyes suddenly widened in realization. "Please say you didn't kidnap them!"

"What does 'kidnap' mean?" Spinel asked confused. 

Steven started panicking. "Spinel!"

"Oh relax ya' worry wort! I found her by the lighthouse. She was alone and crying." Spinel said, suddenly loosing her energy from the familiar situation. 

Steven looked down at the baby with sadness in his eyes. "Poor thing was probably abandoned." Steven looked back up at Spinel. "Was there a note with her?"

Spinel thought for a moment. "Nope, not that I can remember."

"Well then we have to decide a name for her." Steven said.
