You unlocked the door to your house smiling you had just gotten back from hanging out with Jacob Sangyeon and Sunwoo and you close the door as you step inside.

"Where were you?" You hear your mother snap at you immediately and your smile disappears. You play with the hem of your purple skirt and try to think.

"Just watching a movie with some friends-" You start and she stops you.

"Well I tried to call you several times, why can't you ever pick up?" She crosses her arms and you move your hair behind your ear nervous.

"I told you my phone won't turn on and-" She interrupts you once again.

"What friends? What Movie? Where?" just bombards you with questions and you feel your eyes start to water.

"I- I-" you stutter looking at your feet

"Spit it out," she demands arms crossed impatiently

"Jacob, Sangyeon and Sun-" She stops you right there grabbing you harshly by the arm.

"Boys? I don't need you ruining your life I did when I had you, now go out and buy some food and if I hear you ever mutter about those guys or you don't answer me again you will suffer harsh consequences." She practically shoves you out to door tears falling down your face it was dark out now and you felt scared. You hated walking in the dark always on edge and worried but you did as you were told and went to the store. You walked aimlessly down the aisles and stopped in the cereal aisle picking up a box of captain crunch and looking at it when you feel someone looking at you. You immediately snap your head and spot him at the other end making his way over to you.

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Kevin smiles looking at the box of cereal in your hand.

"Just picking up some groceries, why are you here?" you place the box back on the shelf giving him your full attention.

"My little sister was begging for some cookies so I decided to go get her some," He explains leaning on the shelf across from you talking.

"You have a little sister?" You ask curious, you always enjoyed kids for the most part how adorably innocent they could be made you smile.

"Yeah she's the cutest, do you have any siblings?" He tilts his head and you nod.

"Yeah, I have a twin brother," You smile before you start to frown remembering how tense things have been.

"Yeah? Does he go to our school too?" Kevin watches your reaction.

"No... He goes to that music school..." You look at the ground thinking hoping he'll change the conversation.

"Yeah? I hear it's a great school especially for music," Kevin does seem to notice your saddened look as you just nod.

"Yeah, I heard that too," You pick the box of cereal back up calculating what you can afford.

"You know something Y/n?" he asks so you look back up at him confused.

"I thought you hated me especially that day in the library," he explains and you let out a small chuckle.

"I never hated you, you just always caught me when I wasn't having a good time, You met me when I was late to meeting some friends and when I felt alone, You always seemed to catch me at my worst," You explain and he nods accepting that answer.

"Well, I'm glad to catch you in a better mood," Kevin smiles and you shrug conflicted.

"Define better," You sulk sadly and he raises an eyebrow confused.

"How are you doing then?" Kevin questions and you sink to the floor sadly your vision blurring.

"I was having a good day, I hung out with Sunwoo, Sangyeon, and Jacob then I got home and everything fell apart... I've always tried to do my best and make her proud but I can't please everyone and... I'm sorry I'm ranting probably ruining your night," You back off on your emotions wiping away the tears that had formed with the sleeve of Sunwoo's hoodie.

"No, it's okay, don't ever apologize I get that it's hard to make everyone happy but I think you need to put your happiness first and make choices for you not anyone else," He's now moved from his side to yours and sits down with you to comforts you. You don't say anything you just think as you listen to your hearts beating in sync he draws soothing patterns on your hand that you have resting on your leg with his thumb. You rest your head on his shoulder and you both enjoy the silence of each other.

The sound of steps makes the two of you turn your heads as you spot someone walking down the aisle. As the girl stops across from the two of you she's chewing gum of some sort and has an annoyed expression on her face.

"Are you two gonna like buy something or stay on the ground all night, I would get up because like the floor is sooooooooo nasty you guys don't wanna know what I've had to clean up," She explains and you both apologize getting up.

"Well I guess I should get my things, I don't want to keep my mom waiting all night," You explain and give him a light hug pausing for a moment neither of you feels like going but you step away smiling before going your separate ways.

Before you know it you're standing outside your house with two bags of groceries on your arm as you unlock the door stepping inside. You spot Jimin sitting on the couch and smile gently.

"Hey," You say without any response.

"Please, Jimin... I miss talking to my brother, how has school been?" You sit across from him and he lets out a sigh looking you in the eyes.

"It's been fine, I hear you've been having a grand time making boyfriends at school, look if you wanted to attend my dream school to get a boyfriend I think that's shallow, even for you," Jimin fires at you not holding back almost the same reaction as your mom as you sit mouth agape.

"Jimin, that's not even remotely close to why- How could you even assume that? You know I'm not even remotely over my ex!" You defend getting up out of rage and he joins you standing with a glare on his face eyes foamed over with anger.

"How would I know y/n? You seem to like lying to me and only taking into account your feelings! It's not exactly impossible to think you would attend a school for boys just to get a boyfriend," Jimin angrily walks past you shoving you as he walks.

"And why did you want to go in the first place? For the attention? For the status, because we don't exactly have money, to show off?" You defend as he shoves some things into a bag and with that he's gone slamming the door on his way out.

You hadn't noticed but now you were shaking with anger and gripping the bag of food harshly this whole day had been filled with ups and downs and now you could care less about dinner as you toss the food on the counter entering your room and yelling into a pillow.
