I was an average, normal girl. Normal grades, normal mom, normal dog, normal life. That, one day, changed. Nothing would ever be the same. Nothing bad, I assure you that. Actually this change is pretty humorous. I’m having tons of fun thanks to this change. But that’s later on; let me start from the beginning.
I was roaming around at night, something that was usual for me considering I could barely sleep. A small bright blue light illuminated from behind me, I ignored it thinking it was just a head-light of some car. I don’t think I can be more wrong than I was then. The light grew larger and suddenly it was gone. I didn’t think much of it, who would’ve? I should’ve thought more of it. SLAM! “OUCH! JEEZ WHAT THE HE-…” My sentence was cut off once I saw the several people that lay sprawled across my small and frail frame. Some looked my age, 17, while there were others that looked to be in their 20s or 30s.

They groaned in pain, which I was extremely offended by. Were they the ones underneath a ton of people? I think not! “Could you please get off?!?!” I lightly yelled. I wouldn’t have been so rude, but they stayed sprawled across me for nearly five minutes and I could start to feel my bones slowly caving in. They apologized continually but their voices just went in one ear and out the other as I wiped off the dirt sticking to my jeans. “It’s fine.” I said and started to walk away. “Wait!” A girl with short choppy bright pink hair and emerald green eyes burst out. “What?” I asked slightly impatient, I get very grumpy when I can’t sleep; walking (alone) helps with that.

“Can you please tell us where we are?” I raised an eyebrow at that question. “You’re in Manhattan.” “Manhattan? What village is that?” A blonde boy with ocean blue eyes asked. I pursed my lips, “It’s not a village dude, and it’s a city.” “City?” Another asked, this time his grey hair seemed to defy gravity and all of his face (except an eye) was covered by a mask. “Yup… City.” I responded. “Enough of this!” Another male with raven hair that was shaped into… a duck’s butt? With onyx eyes. He hissed as he pulled out a- kunai?!? I started to realize what this really was. My grey orbs widen, “OH MY GOD, ITS A STICK UP!” I flailed my arms around. “What? No! We’re just- OW WHAT THE, MY EYES!!!!" I didn't let them finish for I had sprayed them all with the pepper spray I kept hidden in my hoodie pocket, “COME BACK WHEN I’M 80 FOOLS!!!" "DAMN WOMAN, YOU BE CRAZY!" The blonde boy with blue eyes cried as he clutched his burning eyes.

"Says the robbers!" I shot back before I ran away (like a boss!). Once in my cozy home I locked the door and proceeded to my bedroom, my secret haven. I flopped on my bed and snuggled my face into the pillow. I thought that encounter would be the last I'd see them, but now that I look back on it, I keep getting more and more wrong.
