You sat on the railing while Sidon hugged you from behind on the balcony. It was a beautiful sunset, no better way than to spend the evening together. Sidon was practically shaking but you didn't notice. Why? Because he had someone special planned that everybody knew except for you. You and Sidon had been together for 7 years. Sidon decided it was time to claim you as his own.
He spent the whole day preparing what to say yet he was still drawing blanks. He hugged you tighter, you smiled and leaned your back against his chest. He was tall enough to rest his chin on your head. He sighed, "What a beautiful sunset." You hummed in agreement. "You here with me makes it all the better." He leaned down to kiss your cheek.
His smile dropped and his heartbeat got a little faster, thinking about proposing to you and all the different scenarios that could happen. He was full of anxiety. You felt his heart beat. "You okay Sidon?" You looked up at him. "O-Of course, love. Why wouldn't I be?" He smiled at you. It was a fake smile but he managed to pull it off. You leaned against his chest. Sidon felt his heart skip a beat. Words could not describe accurately how he felt. He felt like electricity was pulsing through his body. He slowly reached behind him and pulled out a box, (from where? I've got no clue) he made sure you couldn't see it. He glanced at it for a moment and he felt his stomach drop. He had never felt more scared. What if she says no? What if she leaves me?? I couldn't live with myself!
His thoughts flooded his mind. He tried to hide the fact that his hands were shaking but he couldn't. You put your hans on his. "Are you cold?" You asked him, thinking you may was to head inside. The sunset was gone and the moon was rising on the other side. The stars started to shine brightly, lighting up the glossy domain. "N-No love I just..." He was taken aback by how his voice sounded. It was shaky and broken. You were worried by his tone of voice and leaned up to face him. I'm going to blow it! Sidon was running out of time, soon he would not be able to bring himself to ask Y/N.
You put a hand to his cheek, he was incredibly hot despite the chilly atmosphere. "Oh dear, are you running a fever? Your extremely warm." You put one hand on his cheek and the other on his forehead. He leaned into your hands, purring, loving your touch. "I'm not sick.. I-I'm blushing.." You we're surprised by his response. It warmed your heart to know that even though you've been together for all these years, he still blushes for you like a crush.
It's now or never!
He put his hand over yours on his cheek. "Y/N.." he spoke in a hushed tone. "There's no one who could ever compare to your beauty." He kissed your hand. "There's no one who could ever compare to your loving smile, there's no one who could ever compare with your wonderful personality." With every phrase, he kissed up your arm. "There's no one who could ever be more fitting as my queen." He finally reached your cheek and kissed it. Your heart was beating faster at the last phrase. He reached behind him, pulling out the box again. He opened it to reveal a ring with three sapphire stones forming the zora symbol. Your eyes began to appear glassy and watery. Sidon closed his eyes.

"Please. Y/N. Will you.. will you be by my side forever, as my queen, as my wife?"

Sidon didn't hear a response. His heart sank. He opened his eyes to see your face, covered in tears. Your throat was burning and you couldn't say anything. But you nodded with a smile. "R-Really?! You will? You will!" Sidon picked you up with a cheer. "This is officially my favorite day!!" You laughed with him and kissed him passionately. You took the ring from the box and slipped it on your left hand ring finger. "...I love you Sidon." You spent the rest of the evening with Sidon. Cuddling and kissing. You would tell everyone in the domain tomorrow of your betrothal. But right now, you and Sidon were loving the time spent with just the two of you.
