Image of Zane😊😊

If she wasn't an angel, then Zane doesn't know what was. He wasn't sure if it was even humanly possible to be so poise and graceful. What he did know is that she was the girl of his dreams, the girl that he had been chasing in his sleep and reality for the past two years.Call that crazy or whatever you want but that was the truth. He was madly in love with this girl but was too much of a  coward to make a move.

He remembered the first time she first stepped into the classroom with her brother as if it were yesterday. While everyone else was caught up in their own commotion, Zane however  couldn't take his eyes off of her.The way she smiled as she waved her brother goodbye was as golden as the sun, vibrant enough to awaken his dusty heart. It was ready to leap out of his chest at the sight of her.

He wanted to jump out of his chair to introduce himself and offer her a seat next to him. But the moment their eyes met the smile slowly faded away and she immediately looked away, walking to the very last seat at the back of the class. Her reaction pulled a helpless whine out of him, forcing him to stay on his seat and not follow her. Zane couldn't understand why he felt this  way over a girl he barely knew but as time went by he came to realize that he really liked Maria.

She was very quiet though and seldom spoke to anyone in the class. Although she wasn't the popular type, many like Zane, admired her. She was known to help kids with their homework and volunteered for many school activities, whether it was picking up the trash or representing the school in the track & field national stadium. She was the type of girl who's spirit inspired others to do good and smile a little.

Her drive to succeed was one of the many other things that drew his heart closer to hers. But the reason why he never made a move was because she isolated herself from everybody, a loner who did what she had to do and left. No matter how close he got she always seemed to slip away from his grasp.

That didn't ease his undying love for her though. He believed that he still  had a chance with her, after all they still had two years left before they graduated. He prayed every night that fate would work in his favor before then, granting him the love that he has always yearned for.

He was caught in the webs of his little reverie until Dave decided to rip him out of it. Giving him a light tap on the back of his head Dave said, "Hey?"

Sadly, Zane was still stuck in his little trance, his dreamy eyes gazing away to Maria's direction.

Determined to snap Zane out of it, he slapped him harshly on the back of his head bellowing, " Hey!"

Zane was immediately snapped out of his day dream, groaning in pain as he rub the sore spot that Dave just slapped.

Glaring at Dave he snapped,"What the heck did you do that for!"

Everybody else in the gang besides Dave was silenced by Zane's outburst.  You see, Zane rarely got angry and always kept to himself. It gets real scary when he's furious , that's why his classmates never got on his bad side.  His anger was as scary as his ability to score a 4.0 G.P.A without having to study. He wasn't violent mind you, there was just something about his demanding aura that invaded the space when he was angry. Even Kevin, the bulkiest in the class, could never challenge Zane.  Dave, however refused to be a coward at his feet this time.

"To wake you up stupid. You kept staring at her like you were under a spell or something." He barked back, glaring right back at Zane's stern gaze. Backing down on a staring challenge was a  no no for Zane so Dave had no choice but to look away.

Sighing, he leaned back on his chair. Looking back at Zane he said, " Dude you seriously need to give up. We both know that you don't stand a chance with the girl. You've been crushing on her for what, 2 years and you still aint make a move yet."
