When I realized what was happening, I had to pull away.

“Is something wrong?” he asked.

“No. But if Jack finds us, he’ll kill us both.”

“Why? Is he like your boyfriend or something?”

“No. Of course not. But he told me not to kiss you”

“He was probably joking.”

“Yeah maybe.”

“Just relax and let your mind take over.” He smiled and pulled me up. I walked over to my bed and sat down. He walked over and laid next to me, grabbing my hand in the process. My hand tingled with his touch. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Is it cold in here or is it just me?”

“Just you sweetheart.” He said. I blushed.

“Shut up.” I smiled while hiding my face.

“If you’re cold, we could always cuddle and watch a movie.”

“That sounds good.” I crawled up to him and cuddle against him. I turned on the tv and went to Netflix. “What movie?”

“It’s up to you.”

“Okay. Chick flick it is.” I smiled teasingly.

“Eww. Anything but that please?”

“I hate chick flicks. I hope you knew that.”

“Pfft. Of course I knew that.”

“No you didn’t.”

“No I did not.”

“That’s fine. Now choose a movie.”

“How about your favorite movie?”

“And what would that be?”

“Stand By Me. Duh.” He chuckled.

“Awe you remembered.” I blushed.

“Yeah. Obviously.”

“Dork.”

“Oh shut up. You love me.”

“You’re my best friend. Obviously.”

“I thought it was Sam.”

“Okay. You’re second.”

“I thought that was Jack.”

“Fine. You’re third.”

“Fair enough.” He chuckled. I hit play on the movie and smiled. Tonight was going to be fun, or so I thought. After the movie ended, I heard something I didn’t want to hear.

“Sammy, can you get me a drink please?” I heard Miranda say in her annoying little voice. I mocked her and Kenny laughed.

“You’re funny Abby. And I wish I could stay longer but I have to go. See you at school tomorrow?”

“Yes sir. I’ll walk you out.” I got out of bed and we walked downstairs. “Goodnight Kenny.” I smiled and hugged him. He walked out the door. A few minutes later, Miranda stood up and hugged Sam.

“It’s almost curfew so I think I should get going now.”

“Alright. Bye babe.” Sam smiled. He hugged her and I rolled my eyes as she walked out the door. When Sam turned to face me, he saw me rolling my eyes. We looked at each other for a few seconds before he turned and walked back to the living room with my brother. I really feel the urge to punch him. I waled into the kitchen to find Jack still baking.
