Chapter 1

Mason's POV

"DUDE!!! Go ask him out right now!" I yell at my best friend, Taylor Wu.

"NO! He's going to reject me and you know it!"

"Come on, you never know until you try, and besides this is the perfect time to ask!"

You see, Taylor and I were at our 9th grade dance. We're both 14 and have a crush on two different guys ever since we were 12 (7th grade).

I like a guy named Devin Walker, and Taylor likes Bradley Missel, both of them are popular jocks.

Taylor and I are just one of the guys.

(So basically tomboys who are friends with all of the jocks)

"How about this, if I ask out Devin, will you ask out Bradley?"

"Really?! Fine, but I know you're not going to do it."

"We'll see about that" I smirked at Taylor, imagining her asking out Bradley.

I walk up towards Devin ,and after two whole years, I'm finally going to do it.

"Hey Devin."

"Oh hey Mason."

"I know this is kinda sudden and all, but I was just wondering...if you... might want to.... date?"

Well, I ready regret what I said...

"Oh sorry Mason, but I really only see you as a friend."

"Oh thats ok! This was just a dare anyways, don't think of it as anything." I quickly say and walk away slowly with my head down.

What the heck was I expecting, every girl likes him, and if they don't, it's because they like Bradley.

Luckily the dance had dark lights so no one noticed that I was upset.

Except for Taylor

"So what happ-" she stopped herself once she saw my face.

"Stupid! Don't cry over a boy! They're over-rated anyways!"

Seeing how she was being the supported friend she was by hitting my head, I just laughed

"Yeah, your right, I shouldn't cry over a boy! Besides I still have K-pop and anime guys."

"Exactly! Now lets go get you a drin-"

"Oh, I see what your doing! You're trying to make me forget about our deal! No! Now you go over there and ask out Bradley."

"Dang it, I thought you forgot.." She mumbled while walking towards Bradley.

Taylor's POV

"Ugh... I can't believe she's making me do this even after she got rejected." I whisper to myself as I approached Bradley.

"Oh hey! Sup. How are you doing? So I really like you, would you be my boyfriend?" I quickly say so I could get it over with.

"Huh?- Oh, sorry Taylor, I think of you as a little sister, so-"

"Oh that was just a joke, just forget about it, anyways I'm going back to Mason," I walked back having the same reaction as Mason, with my head looking at the floor.

"YO TAYLOR LOOKS LIKE YOUR NO LONGER SING-" She stopped yelling out when she saw my mood, "DUDE CHEN STILL IS STILL SINGLE!!"

I immediately had a huge smile thinking about my ultimate bias, Chen from Exo.

So after that, our rejection didn't get the best of us, we just laughed and danced like nobody's business.

After all, we still have a k-pop audition at S.M to go to tomorrow.
