(not exactly what it looks like in the pic, its more circle and higher up, but this shown is just what it looks like with decorations)
The moon was slowly escalating down the sky till its remains of glowing deceased, whilst the sun peeked out and let its rays seep into the land, waking up Paris' citizens.
It was Christmas Eve! All the families hung up their stockings, and celebrated the holiday approaching, everyone was in a rush to get their late gifts for friends and family.
And a certain someone was busy finishing up their costume for the mascaraed dance. Marinette stuck her tongue out as she concentrated, sewing the lines perfectly between the dress.
"Wow, Marinette, this is probably one of your few most best works!" Tikki marveled upon the work of Marinette Dupain-Cheng's dress.
"You really think?" Marinette sighed happily, "I hope Adrien likes it." Tikki giggled at the comment made, floating into Marinette's bag whenever the trapdoor opened.
"Mom!" Marinette gasped, "You scared me."
Her mother chuckled, "My apologies, but the school said you're going straight to the ballroom to finish up the decorating."
"Straight there?"
"Yes." Sabine closed the trapdoor, her footsteps retreating down the steps.
Marinette set down her dress, and bolted out the door when she had realized that she was already pretty late, and the place is a pretty far walk! She ran full speed as she made her way down the streets and crosswalks.
Then to her surprise, she heard a car screech to a halt behind her. The car was black. It was Adrien's.
The window rolled down to reveal a familiar blond sitting in the seat. He said something inaudible to the driver, whom looked doubtful, but then nodded. Adrien then faced Marinette through the window. "You're heading to the ballroom right?"
He's talking to me. Marinette thought repeatedly, unable to formulate words. Just say yes, that's all you have to say. "Pfft, no." Marinette choked, "I- I mean yes!"
"Want a ride?"
She sighed heavenly. "You're great."
Adrien gave her a puzzled expression, a slight tint of red obvious on his face.
"Wait, I mean the-the ride would be great! Not you. Not saying that you aren't great, because you are! I mean, ugh.." Adrien took her bizarre reply as a yes, opening the car door and welcoming her.
"It was ashame that you were sick for the past two days," Adrien smiled, "I heard Ladybug and Chat Noir even helped with your idea. It was cool of you to ask Ladybug for her help."
At first Marinette was perplexed at the idea on why he thought she had been sick, but then she remembered why she faked being sick so she could be Ladybug to attend the school decorating.
"Oh yeah, it- it's such a shame." Her fake voice didn't sound too convincing, but Adrien shrugged it off.
While they were in the car, Marinette couldn't help but think the whole time how she was sitting by the Adrien Agreste in his car.
Adrien attempted to make conversation, the silence being unbearable, but it just ended up with a distorted reply from Marinette. Then after an agonizing few minutes, the car finally pulled up to the building where the dance would take place.
A few students were walking into the building, running in attempt to not be late. Nino was there outside chatting with Alya, who saw Adrien get out whilst holding the door for Marinette. She nudged Nino so hard in the ribs he almost toppled over, and then pointed towards the car.
