Once again all these wonderful people belong to Jen Calonita.
Jocelyn had a difficult time in her younger years, so did AG. It seemed as if AG was the only one to see this during that time, the same with Jocelyn. They knew everything about each other, forming an unbreakable bond between the two.
This lasted years, not faltering even after they all grew too old for FTRS. Not even after they fulfilled their own destinies that didn't want to accept the friendship between a princess and a witch. But they made it work.
When people started rioting only a few years after the gang left FTRS, the princess alliance fell. The princesses decided the best thing for everyone in the land was to step down and have a democracy. Anyone could run, including the princesses themselves.
Jocelyn was the one who convinced AG to run.
"AG you are the most qualified person in all of Enchancia." she squeezed past the crowd of people to the potato cart. "No one else has the experience that you do."
"You know that is not true." AG picked out eight potatoes and stuffed them in her brown sack. "What about Devin?"
Jocelyn handed the cart owner some coins then turned to the other vegetables. "She's already in school to become a veterinarian. You know full well of that."
"Yeah I did, just hoping to stop this conversation." She grumbled. "Can you get five carrots? Ollie loves them."
"Changing the subject." Jocelyn still got the carrots, Ollie really did like them. Like almost every single food out there. She saw what AG was trying to do.
"No, we need to get the rest of the stuff and get back to the castle. The rest of the gang is going to get there in three hours. We need to start on the pie stat."
The only reason Jocelyn came into the busy town market was because Ag had asked her. Normally she wouldn't be caught dead in any place public that wasn't her laboratory. But Ag made this reunion sound like a big deal. She still stood out in her all black outfit that included a long flowing cape and dramatic makeup.
They stayed in the market for a few more minutes gathering the rest of the materials for AG's feast. At nineteen, AG was fully independent. She didn't have a single servant in her smaller than normal castle. She liked it that way.
When they got to the castle by carriage, AG ran straight for the kitchen, the only fancy thing about the castle besides the dining room.
Jocelynn laughed, AG was way too excited for the next two and a half hours of non-stop cooking. But she still ran after her.
When Jocelyn entered the kitchen AG had already gotten the already-made pie crust and had started rolling it out.
Jocelyn hung up her cape and got out a cutting board. She started chopping.
"So are you going to run?" Jocelyn asked slyly.
AG had started the filling and stuffed the spoon into Jocelyn's unsuspecting mouth. Peach, Maxine would love it. So did Jocelyn, but that didn't give her a "get out of Jocelyn's question" card.
"Hey!" Jocelyn lightly shoved AG and handed her the now empty spoon. "Seems like you're too scared to answer, and this is really good."
"Thanks, and no I am not scared to answer that stupid question." she huffed. "I just don't think I'd be the best person for the job."
"You're right, you really aren't the best person for the job." Jocelyn washed off the knife she used to cut the carrots and got out the potato peeler. Ag was shocked. "Because," she added. "You're the perfect person for the job." It was AG's turn to shove Jocelyn.
"It's true, you always put others before yourself. One of the best qualities in a leader. Everyone would vote for you!"
"Even with the whole...me being part beast thing?" AG asked.
"Especially with the whole you being part best thing, they know how violent you can be when it's needed."
"Thanks Jocelyn." AG said.
"No problem, I just hope you'll put being the leader of all of Enchancia to thought." Jocelyn laughed while AG shook her head softly.
"I'll think about it, and thanks again."
Jocelyn smiled. "Glad to knock some sense into you."
"No problem." AG mimicked. She bumped her shoulder against Jocelyn's and continued to decorate the pie with cut out leaves from the leftover crust. They both finished making the meal swiftly.
"No really, thank you for everything." AG went up on her tiptoes and placed a kiss on Jocelyn's cheek. AG blushed. "And I'm running, I have a lot to give to Enchancia." Jocelyn was frozen. "And you're going to help me."
