Ricky pulls up a little while later and I make sure no ones around as I get into his truck.
"Ready to talk?" I say, my hands shaking a little.
He nods, ready to speak.
"So, about the kiss-"
"Did you hate it?" I interrupt.
"Jo, I enjoyed it," he says, a smile creeping on his face.
"Well, what does this mean for us?" I ask.
"I'm not sure yet. Let's just take it day by day. I want you in my life," he smiles.
"Same here," I smile.
He takes my hand and kisses my palm. We pull out of the racetrack and head to my house.
I grab Ricky's phone and call Ezra.
"Hello?" he asks.
"It's Jo. How was the date?" I grin.
"She didn't show," he says.
"Come to my house. Are you okay?" I ask.
He doesn't answer. He just hangs up.
"What happened?" Ricky asks.
"His date never showed," I frown.
"He has terrible luck with relationships," Ricky frowns.
"We're gonna find him someone soon," I smile.
"Hopefully," Ricky says.
"Don't doubt me!" I elbow him playfully.
He laughs and we pull into my house.
I go inside to find Ezra sitting on my couch. I walk over to him and sit next to him. I wrap my arms around him and hold him for a minute. I let go and look at him.
"You okay?" I ask.
"I feel a little better," he smiles.
"Well, I think Ricky and I are gonna be a thing," I grin.
"Finally. I knew it was coming," he smirks.
"Hush! We're taking it slow," I laugh.
"Ricky finally manned up and talked to you," Ezra laughs.
"You're the one to talk about being a man," Ricky smirks as he walks out of the kitchen with a pizza box.
"Where'd you get that?" I ask.
"Picked it up before I picked you up," he smiles.
I grab a slice of pizza and eat it. We all sit on the couch and watch Spongebob.
"Why are we watching such a baby show?" Ricky asks.
"Excuse me? Spongebob is amazing!" I laugh.
"It is," Ezra defends me.
"Thank you!" I giggle.
Ricky grabs the remote and puts on one of those stupid fishing shows.
:"Not this!" I groan.
"These are the best!" Ezra smiles.
"I'm going to my room. Anything is better than this stupid show," I laugh, walking to my room.
I lay down on my bed and watch Spongebob.
I slowly get sleepy and fall asleep.
I wake up the next morning and head to the kitchen. I make some coffee for myself and look in the living room. Ezra and Ricky are curled up on the couch together. I giggle and snap a picture with my phone.
