zach was crying against jack's chest, desperately wishing him to wake up. they suddenly heard sirens and jonah shot up. he got up and limped to the top of the ditch, zach right behind him.
an ambulance was rushing towards them and they waved their hands in the air. the ambulance stopped by them and they led them to corbyn and jack.
the rest flew by so fast. jonah could remember getting his leg checked out, then sitting in a hospital bed with zach next to him. then the doctor said things to zach and that made the boy cry; whether they were happy or sad, jonah couldn't tell.
then the doctor came in again and told zach some things, making him look up at jonah with more tears in his eyes. the doctor left the room and jonah could barely register zach's hand on his and the few words he said.
corbyn made it out alive.
