Y/N-"Bye Reece,bye Ryan" I said as they got into the car.
Reece and Ryan-"Bye bye Y/N! Merry Christmas!"
"Thanks guys! You too."
I was saying goodbye to my boyfriends family as they left for their cruise holiday. I'm staying at their place for Christmas as otherwise I'd be at a hotel or something as I don't live with my parents because we argue to much so his parents offered to let me stay at their house. My boyfriend Zach wasn't going to be home as he's on tour with his band but that was okay as I was grateful to have some place to stay.
His parents gave me a hug and put their suitcases in the car.
Y/N-"Again Mr and Mrs Herron thank you so much for letting me stay here. I'm beyond grateful."
Myta-"Y/N! Sweetheart no need for the Mr and Mrs! You and Zach have been dating for 4 years now. You can call us Josh and Myra silly!" His mum playfully said to me whilst smiling.
Josh-"I agree with her y/n your like our daughter your welcome here anytime!"
Y/N-"Thank you so much guys it really means a lot to me."
Myta-"Sweetie it's fine! We are so sorry Zach isn't going to be here though. Sucks that he's always abroad with his band but he is making us proud at least."
Y/N-"Yeah it does suck but at least he's doing what makes him happy."
Myta-"Are you sure you don't want to come with us? We have enough room and enough to get an extra ticket."
Y/N-"No you guys go! Honestly I'm going to be fine go have a lovely family break together and celebrate the holidays!"
Josh-"Are you sure? We feel terrible that your spending it alone!"
Y/N-"Hey I'm fine! Besides Zach's going to FaceTime me on Christmas Day tomorrow so I'll be talking to him most of the day!"
Myta-"You sure?"
Y/N-"Positive. Now go enjoy your getaway!"
I smiled and hugged them both before they got in their car and left. In all honesty I lied to them. I really didn't want to be alone on the holidays but I didn't want to be rude my invading their cruise so I told them I'd be happy to stay back which I am considering time to myself but still it's going to be extremely lonely.
I went back inside and got into some fluffy Christmas pyjamas and sat on the sofa and I decided to put The Grinch on considering it was Christmas Eve and The Grinch has always been my go to Christmas movie. After 20 minutes into the movie I started getting chilly so I went to the heater cupboard to try and put the heating on but none of the cupboard lights were on and everything seemed busted and not working. Because I didn't know what to do I ran Myta...then Josh...then Ryan but I got no answer. I started pacing around the hallway thinking about what to do and then the obvious entered my mind. Ring Zach! Zach grew up in this house he's got to of known how to fix the heating if it all goes off.
I pulled out my phone from my pyjama pocket and rang Zach. It ringed a couple of times and then he picked up.
Y/N-"Hey Zach!"
Zach-"Hey babe what's up?"
Y/N-"So basically your parents just left and it started to get nippy indoors so I went to sort the heater out but it all seems switch off and broken."
Zach-"Really?" When he said that I swear I heard him chuckle
Y/N-"Yes zach this isn't funny"
Zach-"I never said it was"
Y/N-"I literally just heard you laugh"
Zach-"ok ok I'm sorry try switching the switch in the top left corner."
Y/N-"Mhmm okay."
I switched the switch but it didn't do anything.
Zach-"Anything?"
Y/N-"Nothing."
Zach-"Mhm okay bottom right plug? Unplug it then plug it in again." He slightly laughed again
Y/N-"Stop laughing it's not funny I'm freezing!"
Zach-"Ok ok I'm sorry."
Y/N-"I'll try the plug."
Zach-"Okie"
I unplug the plug and plugged it back in again but nothing.
Y/N-"Nothing."
Zach-"uhhh okay try..."
Zach told me to try multiple things but nothing worked. I had been trying for at least 25 minutes now and Zach just kept laughing and laughing.
Y/N-"Zachary! Do you even know what your doing because your shit!! Nothing is working and you just keep laughing."
Zach-"Baby calm down. I'm just laughing because if how oblivious you are"
Y/N-"What do you mean how oblivious I am?"
Zach seemed really close up to the phone because I could hear him really loud.
Zach-"Ok baby I'm going to get you to try one last thing for the heater."
Y/N-"Okay? What is it?"
Zach-" I want you to go into the main hallway."
Y/N-"Okay then what?" I made my way to the main hallway and all the lights were off.
Y/N-"Baby I'm scared all the lights are off. It's really creepy."
Zach didn't reply which scared me and then the phone declined.
Y/N-"Shit" I say looking down at my phone noticing it had died.
I started to shake because every light was off including the tv. I attempted to try and find the light switch in the dark and after a couple try's I ended up finding it and switched all the switches on. I looked up at the ceiling and watched all the lights turn on. My eyes went back to the floor and in front of me I saw zach.
Zach-"Suprise baby"
Y/N-"ZACH! YOU SCARED ME!" I ran into his arms and he picked me up and hugged me.
He hugged me tight for a couple of minutes before putting me down and kissing me.
Y/N-"Baby i missed you so much u don't understand!"
Zach-"I missed you way more."
I smirked
Y/N-"What are you doing here I thought you were meant to be on tour still with the boys."
Zach-"Baby I love my job and it's a big part of my life. But if you think my job comes before you than you've got another thing coming. Do you really think we'd all agree to stay on tour on Christmas? We've all got family's and girlfriends to see other the holidays!"
Y/N-"Oh zachary I love you so much."
Zach-"I love you too."
Y/N-"Wait did your mom know about you coming here?"
Zach-"Of course she did. She even offered if we wanted to go in the cruise with them and I was intrigued but then I put two and two together and realised if we didn't go we'd have the whole place to ourselves." He said as he winked at me.
Y/N-"You rebel." We both laughed
Zach-"So can we go and have some fun?"
Y/N-"Hahaha no!"
Zach-"Wait why not baby?"
Y/N-"Oh Zachary I don't think you get it. I rang you because I'm freezing. Literally freezing. So if you don't fix this heater and make this house warm you ain't getting any of my loving sweetie."
I gave him a angry face and pointed to the cupboard.
Zach-"Ok ok I'll go do it. But if I do...do you PROMISE you'll give me some Christmas love."
Y/N-"Ew you weirdo but yes I promise whatever."
I rolled my eyes and he grinned running to the cupboard.
Y/N-"Woah I've never seen you run so fast in your life."
Zach-"Oh babygirl I'm not wasting anytime tonight."
