The thought I tried so hard to suppress rose. My fingers wrapped around the image of my love. The spite of her words sent me into this spiral. I brought the image to my face. A sickly smile grew on my face. I pinned it up on the wall. I walked over to the kitchen a grabbed a knife. I glazed my forefinger along the blade and laughed. Oh how that laugh brought me joy. Twiddling the knife in my hands I flung it at the image. Of her. We were so perfect. I was all she could ever want. I was all had ever asked for. Looking back at her image the knife hit her square on the head. Shame she had to go missing a few days later.
Maya's point of view
The cab pulled up against the curb. A house was just in front of me. A house I loved to have sleepovers in. A house I loved to go insane in. A house I could trust my secrets in. A house that I haven't seen for months.
I opened the car door after paying the driver. I shut the door and breathed in the air. I'm safe. I let out the breath and walked towards the house. *Knock* *Knock*. I waited by the door for someone to let me in. The handle turned and the door opened. I was quickly embraced into a hug. A tear slipped down my cheek and we walked inside.
We sat on the sofa. She looked at me with a look of pity in her eyes.
"Right, go on tell me what's been going on." She cut straight to the point. A smile grew on my face as I realised I had her back. She was always reliable like that, the mama bear of our group. She may be blunt but she knew what to say and when to say it.
"I've missed you Chloe." I wiped a tear from my face as she grabbed my hands.I poured my heart out to her. Months of secrets I could finally tell. Months of bottled up emotions that could be healed. She just listened and nodded the whole time. She processed the information that she has been carefully trusted with. By the end of it my eyes were pouring with tears.
She embraced me in another hug and rubbed my back soothingly. The tears wouldn't stop. One after another after another. She pulled away and looked at me in the eyes. "Maya," she paused making sure I was listening, "I think you should have left ages ago." I nodded and rubbed my arm "but you have left now and that's all that matters." A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I look her in the eyes. Thanks. Thanks was covering the sadness. Thanks for her for listening to me. Thanks to her for giving advice. Thanks for not getting mad. Thanks for always being there for me although I had been a terrible friend at times.
"Thank you." I replied as I looked down
"For what." She brought up my head to look at me in the eyes.
"Listening."
"The least that a friend could do." The smile on my face grew," We should get some sleep now." I nodded and she left. I made my self comfy on the sofa. Chloe turned around to look at me,"aren't you coming?"
"No I want to sleep on the sofa today."
"Suit yourself."As Chloe walked off to her room I made myself comfortable. I had time to myself to actually process what happened. My eyes were heavy but my mind was restless.
I fell into a light sleep. I was still scared that John or Tobias would come back. Just saying his name sent shivers down my spine.
Tobias point of view
I sat back down on my sofa and took a sip of my beer. How could I have let them both slip through my fingers. Tanya publicly humiliated me and I let her. Maya took advantage of the fact that I thought she couldn't do anything. I growled as both of them slipped out of my grasp. No. Only Tanya did. I could always take drastic measures for her.
A small chuckle let out of my lips. Then another until it turned into a full laughter of insanity. I turned and looked down the hall. "I have a need for you now." I said talking to nothing.
Sorry for another short chapter. I didn't really know what to write
