The next day at school, Sofia and Hugo got together in their ice-dancing class.

"It sounds like Desmond is going to have a full castle," Hugo remarked.

"Good morning, class," Miss Pamela smiled. "Have we come up with an idea for this year's Wassalia ballet?"

"We were thinking of putting on Snow White," Karen spoke up, and her classmates agreed.

"Snow White, it is," Miss Pamela smiled. "I was thinking you could pick your own roles for the ballet this time."

Hugo raised his hand. "Miss Pamela, since Sofia and I already played the leading characters for the last two ballets, we want to give someone else a chance," he said.

"Very generous of you," Miss Pamela approved. "Any idea what role you want to play, Hugo?"

"I was thinking of being the costume designer," Hugo declared.

"Okay," Miss Pamela smiled. "What about you, Sofia?"

"I was thinking of being the Evil Queen," Sofia admitted.

"Are you sure, Sofia?" Linda asked. "You're smaller than just about everyone in class."

"What could be cuter and funnier than Snow White being taller than her stepmother?" Sofia giggled.

Everyone thought that was funny.

Soon enough, everyone got their roles, and they were all excited to see how funny this ballet would be.

After school, Sofia, Amber, and James arrived home, and they—especially Sofia—were in for a big surprise.

"Hello, dear," Dottie smiled.

"Aunt Dottie! Uncle Jason!" Sofia beamed. "I knew you were coming, but I didn't think you'd come this early."

"We couldn't wait to see you, darling," Jason smiled, pinching Sofia's cheeks.

"Well, I hope you're both okay with going with us to Prince Desmond's palace on Wassalia Day for a party," Sofia smiled. "It's for his baby sister's first Wassalia."

"That's wonderful, dear," Jason smiled.

"Aunt Dottie, do you remember my uncle Rodrigo?" Sofia asked.

"Yes, it's been so long since I last saw him," Dottie recalled.

"Well, he's coming on Wassalia Eve, and he's got a surprise to share with us," James smiled.

"Delightful," Jason grinned.

"Speaking of surprises, we have one to share, but let's go find your mother first," Dottie declared.

"Okay," Sofia declared.

Soon enough, everyone was together, and Dottie and Jason were ready to share their surprise.

"Well, Dottie, don't keep us in suspense," Miranda chuckled.

"Okay, Jason and I are going to have a baby," Dottie revealed.

Everyone was surprised to hear that, especially Sofia.

"That means you, Sofia, will have a cousin," Jason smiled.

"Oh, that's great," Sofia beamed. "Congratulations!"

"We ought to plan a baby shower," Amber beamed.

"Maybe not until after we learn if we're having a boy or a girl," Dottie declared.

"Wassalia is barely even close, and I can already tell it's the best one," Sofia smiled.

"Don't get too excited yet, dear—you still have to wait for Uncle Rodrigo," Roland declared.

"Right," Sofia nodded.

The next day at school, Sofia helped Hugo with the costumes, and she told him the good news.

"Congratulations, Sofie," Hugo beamed. "You must be so proud."

"I am," Sofia grinned. "Daddy would've been so proud of Aunt Dottie."

"I'm sure," Hugo smiled. "This Wassalia just might be perfect for you, but for me, I don't think it can top last year."

"Well, we're all different for a reason," Sofia smiled. "I'll leave you alone. I'd better get to rehearsal."

"Make me proud," Hugo smiled.

"I will," Sofia grinned, going off.

The days went by faster than a roadrunner can run, and before anyone knew it, the day of the ice-dancing ballet came.
