Everyone was looking forward to seeing the ballet, especially Dottie.
"I can't wait to see my little Sofia as an evil queen," Dottie smiled.
"This isn't the first time she played the Evil Queen in a Snow White story," Axel recalled.
"You should've seen the way she played the Evil Queen when we put on this kind of play while we were in Royal Prep," Amber said.
Soon enough, the ballet started. Linda was playing Snow White, and everyone thought it was funny that a girl smaller than her was playing the evil stepmother—but at the same time, they thought Sofia was wickedly beautiful in that costume.
"Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" Sofia asked the Magic Mirror in her most arrogant tone.
Garrick, Samira, Axel, Roland, Miranda, Amber, and James were impressed—Sofia made a more arrogant Evil Queen here than she did the first time.
The ballet went very well, and everyone loved how Sofia made an Evil Queen.
After the show, Sofia and Hugo met up together.
"That was great, Sofie," Hugo smiled.
"Thanks, Hugo," Sofia smiled. "Maybe for Desmond's Wassalia party, I can make a dress similar to my first evil queen costume. Besides, it's getting kinda small for me."
"Just don't make it any scarier, especially since there'll be a baby," Hugo told her.
"Okay," Sofia smiled.
The days flew by, and it was already Wassalia Eve. Sofia had made a new Wassalia dress.
"Perfect," Sofia smiled. Suddenly, she heard a knock on her door. "Enter."
Amber entered Sofia's room. "Sofia, there you are," she smiled. "Uncle Rodrigo is waiting for us in the parlor."
"Okay," Sofia smiled, going with her sister.
Amber, James, and Sofia made it to the parlor, and they were happy to see their uncle.
"Uncle Rod!" Sofia cried.
"Hello, little ones," Rodrigo smiled, hugging the children. "Oh, you're a little bigger than I remember."
"We've grown a little," James declared.
Sofia saw that there was a woman with Rodrigo. "You brought a friend," she smiled.
"Good guess, dear," Rodrigo smiled. "I'd like you all to meet Alicia, my fiancé."
"Nice to meet you, Alicia," Miranda smiled.
"Good to meet you all," Alicia smiled back.
"Wow, first, my aunt Dottie is having a baby, and now Uncle Rod is getting married," Sofia smiled. "I don't know how this can get any better."
"Me neither," Alicia smiled.
"Before we forget, we're all going out tomorrow night," Roland declared. "We're going to a friend's castle for a Wassalia party."
"I suppose we're going to Prince Hugo's castle again?" Rodrigo asked.
"No, this time, we're going to our friend Prince Desmond's castle," James said. "The party is to celebrate his baby sister's first Wassalia."
"Aw, that's so sweet," Alicia gushed. "But who is this Prince Hugo?"
"Sofia's boyfriend," Rodrigo told her.
"Aw, what a big girl you are," Alicia gushed.
"Thank you," Sofia blushed.
The next evening, it was Wassalia, and everyone was at Desmond's castle for the party.
"Desmond really outdid himself," Hugo remarked.
"Yes, he did—he must be really excited to celebrate Carrie's first Wassalia," Axel smiled. "I remember when Mom and Dad did the same for you. You let out a huge burp when they stood under the mistletoe."
Hugo blushed—as embarrassing as that sounded, he thought it was pretty funny. Suddenly, the trumpet fanfare played—it was time for the party to start.
"All hail Prince Desmond and Princess Carrie," the castle steward announced.
The doors opened, and there was Desmond holding baby Carrie in his arms. Carrie was wearing a little red dress and a green bow, and everyone gushed over how cute she was. Desmond entered the ballroom and went up to his parents with Carrie, but he kept her far enough away from the Wassalia candle, which Kathy lit up.
"Happy Wassalia!" everyone cheered.
Carrie started cooing as though she was cheering along.
Later, Desmond showed Carrie her first Wassalia present: a toy reindeer.
"You like that?" Desmond cooed.
Carrie cooed as though she'd answered her big brother's question. Then she blurt out, "Dessy!"
Everyone was surprised to hear that—Carrie had just said her first word.
"Dessy!" Carrie blurt out again.
"Her first word!" Desmond cried. He hugged his baby sister. "Best Wassalia present ever!"
"She's such an angel," Dottie gushed. "I can't wait to meet our little one."
"Me neither, darling," Jason smiled.
Kathy and Calvin smiled as they saw their two children bonding. Then they found themselves under a mistletoe—that meant they had to share a kiss. But just as they kissed, Carrie cried out as though she was saying, "Ewe!" That scared her parents and surprised everyone else. Carrie started laughing at her parents' reaction, and everyone joined in.
This was definitely a Wassalia to remember.
