Chapter 2

Tanjiro Pov:
It was almost time to go in the basement for a week with my enemy. For some reason i had gut feeling when i see Y/N she will be in really bad condition.

3 hours later:

My mom woke me up and it was 6:00 am in the morning. We were going early today. My mom said "come on lets go tanjiro." I went out with her and we was walking for a straight 10 minutes. Then when we arrived she told me to walk down. So i did. "Y/n will be coming later because she has business to attend to". She shut the door and leaving shut i decided to explore.

Y/n Pov:
"AHHHHHHHHH" i screamed. My dad was beating me but this time it was worse. He was slapping,punching, hitting me with a whip, and injected by body with something. He was doing it for a whole hour. He said " I KNEW IT. THE MOMENT WE ADOPTED YOU. YOU WAS GONNA BE TROUBLE." After he said that he then grabbed my hair and dragged me to the basement. He opened the basement door and threw down the stairs and closed and lock the door. With bruises and scratchs, I was struggling to keep my conscieness. Last thing i saw was red hair then everything went black.

Tanjiro Pov:
I was in the middle of exploring till i heard the door opened and a sound of body rolling down the stairs. As i got closer i smelled blood and tears. When I went to the stairs I saw Y/n going unconscious. When she went completely unconscious, I screamed and was relived i had first aid supplies. I picked her up and brought her to the most comfortable and warmest area. While i was holding her i realized how extremely light she was. I laid Y/n down and started to bandaged y/n. She was extremely bruised and cold.  When i was done bandaging her. I realized how beautiful she really was. I never really pay attention to her looks. I just really disliked her attitude and personality. My thoughts were interrupted when she started shivering from the cold. I was thinking what should i do. Then i thought of lettung her where my haori. Maybe she will warm up if i give this to her. I put my haori on her. I was little bit glad she wasn't awake or it would've weird. I touched her forhead. She warmed up but was still cold so i decided to let her rest on me till she woke. Tbh i don't do this for people i hated. She's different but that doesn't matter. It's not like I like her or any thing. I was getting tired. Soon i fell asleep without thinking twice.

Second day:
Y/n Pov:
I woke up terrified again because of that stupid dream i had. For some reason i didn't scream because i had gentle hands wrapped around me and a haori on me. I looked at my surroundings when i saw Tanjiro's face asleep. I thought he kinda looked cute then I imagined slapping myself for thinking that. I guess i just hated tanjiro because of optimism. We were exact opposites i was pessimistic and he was optimistic. I starting staring at tanjiro's sleeping face. He looked like a cute child. Then when he woke up slowly opening his eyes. He rubbed his eye and saw i was staring at him. Tanjiro sleepily asked "why are you staring at me?" I looked away from him and hid my face in his haori because i was blushing really hard. Then he realized his arm still wrapping me and that i didn't push him away. I saw him turned away I didn't know why he did but since it hurt so much to move i just sat and thought. Tanjiro brought up the mood and said "Um so i just thought since we aren't enemies anymore obviously lets give eachother new nicknames." I said "Sure" "I will go first" I said "Hmmmmmm"

Tanjiro Pov:

She was thinking. I wonder what she was doing. Then she looked at me and said "Tanji-san" I turned away blushing. She asked "Do you like that nickname "Tanji-san?" I answered " I love it" and smiled sweetly. "Your turn Tanji-san" I was a little nervous because I had two of them. "Don't worry Tanji-san. I will love it im pretty sure." "I have two here is the first one." "T" She said "I never had anyone gave me a nickname that was one letter and giggled." I said " and since your personality reminds me of a wolf your other name is wolfie." She blushed lightly and went to sleep. I went to sleep too feeling joyful.

Timeskip to the last day at 12:00
Nobody's pov:

They heard the sound of a door opening. They went to see and saw tanjiro's mom smiling and saying "your week is over." They ran up stairs to see the outside. Y/n and Tanjiro was happy to feel the snow again but little did they know the next day was going to be terrible
