Sparks Fly (A One Direction Fanfic)

Sofia's POV:

"Sofia, what's wrong", Erin asked. 

A tear delicately fell down my cheek. How could this happen to me?? WHY did it happen to me. What did I do to even deserve this?? I looked back down at that single text message and read every word slowly in my head again.

"Heyy sof i think u might want to see this. im soo sorryy hon. love elliana"

Below was an attached picture of my boyfriend Andrew and another girl making out at a party. My sister was invited to the same party by the same friend that Andrew knew. Elliana took the picture ten minutes ago on her trip to the bathroom, and I had just checked my phone after a romantic movie marathon with Erin.

I nervously grabbed my longish caramel hair and played with it.

I was in so much shock that my breathing was unsteady and I had the urge to start sobbing, but i couldn't because I would wake up one of my roommates Kaila. She didn't really like me, so I didn't want to give her another reason not to. I shared my dorm room with three other girls; Kaila Reed, Allie Carter, and Erin O'Connor, my best friend since the third grade. We had planned to go to college together since we were kids, and it actually happened.

"Sof, seriously. What the fuck is wrong", Erin said nervously. I could tell by the way she tapped her leg. She did that unconsciously when she was nervous. Without speaking, I slowly turned my phone screen to her. I saw the message reflection in her eyes as she read the text. Her facial expression slowly changed from nervous to angry.

"That bastard!!" Erin yelled. "I'm going to go fuck him up!!"

Before I could tell Erin to shut the hell up, Kaila woke up, and she looked pissed.

"Holy shit, Erin. I told you to SHUT. UP. I'm trying to sleep for the exam tomorrow. Get the fuck out of here before I grab your hair and shove you out the window", she said, pointing to the big stained glass window above her bed.

She plopped her head back on the pillow and fell asleep. Erin and I slowly grabbed our phones and our large jumpers and ran out of the dorm room to get some fresh air. As soon as we left the room we started laughing. Kaila’s hair was a mess and she didn’t take her makeup off so she looked like a rabid raccoon. We laughed all the way to the entrance of the apartment complex. As we walked out the double doors, Erin stopped laughing.

She looked at me and just stared. He sea blue eyes burned holes into mine, as they secretly asked me questions. Her dirty blonde hair blew in the wind, and her fingers were tapping her leg.

“What??” I asked, even though I knew why she was stopped walking to look at me.

“Are you sad??” She slowly asked. “I mean, did you really love him??”                                     

I hesitated and looked down at my black flip flops. “I don’t know. I don’t know why I should care now, because he obviously didn’t love me at all.”

Erin nodded and continued to walk.

“Wanna go to that new taco place down the street??” she asked.

I nodded eagerly.

She just knew me so well. Tacos are my favorite food.

Little did I know that that taco place would change my life forever.

HI J I hope you enjoyed the intro!! Of course, one direction will be the main characters too, but I wanted you to get the feel of the main girls first.
