Chapter five

JC

As soon as we arrived at the airport, I got a call from JM telling me that they've landed. Dad found out where they were going in Hongkong, he actually told JM he wanted to be surprised. They're just waiting for their baggages then they'll be out.

Yve and I argued about her getting off the car, she wanted to, but I put my foot down this time. "If you want to get off the car, I'll carry you." In the end, I was in the waiting area and she was in the van.

Of course Raven was barreling towards me again and she jumped up to me before saying, "I missed you."

"Of course you did. I missed you too." Was my reply.

JM also told me that they didn't tell dad that I've already gotten married. They said it wasn't for them to say although dad let us know that Leah has moved in with JM without knowing that he spilled the beans.

I saw Leah next, followed by dad and JM.

"JC, I didn't know Raven does that. Carrying Yve would seem like carrying a little girl now." She said and I smiled.

"Speaking of... Where is my best friend?" She added while looking around.

I put Raven down and turned to look at Leah, JM and dad were right behind her. I think she saw the flicker of anger on my face before I said, "She's in the van. She sprained her ankle. Well, she sprained it really bad because of a new girl in their squad."

I saw Leah's temper flare, "What? Why would she do such a thing? Who does she think she is anyway?"

I hug my brother then I hug my dad. Before saying, "Hi dad." Then I turn back to Leah and say, "Diane said she's throwing Reese, that's her name, off the squad, which might throw her out of the university too. But I will file charges because both times,"

She cut me off, "Both times?" Her voice a little higher this time. This is why I love Yve's friends, they're very protective of her.

"Yes both times, she did deliberately. Only, she's the daughter of a resident agent of theirs in their company."

She looks thoughtful for a while before she said, "Zaragoza?" I nod my head, yes.

"Yeah, well that girl is a one of a kind bitch. She wouldn't even attend any function or event her dad has, all she wants is money from him."

"How come you know her and Yve doesn't?" I asked.

"I don't know her, I just figured it out because they only have 2 resident agents in Manila, and the other one is gay. Mr. Zaragoza is overly proud of his daughter, for what reason he has to be proud of her is anyone's guess. She's almost always flunking and I think she gets into a lot of trouble." Leah said.

"Yeah, that's what dad said." And I saw the confused look on dad's face.

I looked at him and said, "Dad, Yve, you'll meet her in a while, Leah's best friend, is my wife. We got married last June 11th, that's where these two," I indicate JM and Leah, "met and it seems they've been inseparable since." They both blush, I was right.

"Ok. So I'm meeting my daughter-in-law in a while, am I a grandpa too?" This made us all laugh.

"With Rachel's future child, yes you will be in a few months. Yve and I aren't going to have kids anytime soon dad. She's still in school, she has four years to go." I tell him.

"Ok. So where is she?" Dad asked.

Just then I see the van and it stopped in front of us. I open the door and Raven, Leah and Yve all squealed at the same time. The two girls jumped into the van and hugged her.
