JC
It was still early when we finished breakfast. I was still sleepy but Yve wasn't beside me anymore so I got out of bed to look for her. It was amazing how her foot looked so much better that I felt relieved I listened to her. She would've really hated the cast if I insisted on bringing her to the doctor.
Miggs.
I could kill him right now for everything he ever put Yve through. And I actually thought he's done enough before what she told me this morning.
We went back to our bedroom then, I wanted to get a few more hours of sleep and I wanted to talk to my wife.
Dad wanted to walk around downstairs, I'm really glad we got to talk early this morning.
I thought Yve would protest when I lifted her up but she didn't, she just put her arms around me and allowed me to carry her.
I lay her on the bed and got in behind her.
"You need to get in some more sleep baby." She said.
"I know. And I will, in a while." I tell her.
After a while I asked her, "Baby, what else has Miggs put you through?" I couldn't help but ask her because I keep getting the blows out of nowhere.
She seemed to be thinking about my question, then she said, "What do you mean exactly?" I look at her, I couldn't phrase it. I think she understood what I meant to ask.
"If you're asking for major stuff like my birthday or something, we had a big spectacle at a party of one of their batch mates. He was being overly possessive as usual. This was after I've graduated."
"Ethan and I used to dance for programs in school so they asked us to, and of course we did. Well, Miggs didn't like that very much, he dragged me off the dance floor halfway through the dance." He what?
"What were you dancing anyway?" I asked.
"Some modern song, just normal dancing, not sultry dancing or anything." I smiled, I think she knew what I was thinking, then she added, "When Ethan and I were together, we were still young and the most we ever did was kiss, and not the passionate ones either." I had to smile, how can she read my mind like that.
Then she looked thoughtfully at me and said, "You like kissing." I smile.
"You probably kissed a lot of girls senseless." I didn't do that. I mean, Reinn and I kissed a lot in the hallways and the rink, I was in high school, give me a break.
"No love. But I do love kissing, and in the U.S., they don't care if you do it in public as much as the people here do." I said.
"So you did kiss a lot of girls, in public at that." She said. Was she jealous? She looked serious. What am I going to say?
I mean, I haven't met her yet.She giggled, then smiled. "You should've seen your face." She said.
"Baby, what you did, what happened before us is part of you, I can't change it. We both cannot. We can only move forward." She told me.
Wow. I thought for a second. I kiss her then, a real kiss. After a minute I pull away, she surprised me by saying, "I love kissing you." And she blushed.
I turned serious again and prompted her, "What happened after?"
She looked at me then and said, "Ethan has had enough by then. He wasn't privy to the details of my relationship with Miggs but he knew me enough to know that something's definitely wrong." She paused.
"He came after me, Miggs and I were arguing then, I've never seen Ethan get mad at any other boy before, he was fuming. He told Miggs he never said anything because he respects my decision when I decided to have a relationship with him. He said, Miggs had no right to humiliate me like that. He said it wasn't his fault that Miggs doesn't dance well. I almost laughed when he said that, I think that's what Ethan wanted to happen."
