'The world we know has changed. The hunters are no longer superstitious cowards with pitchforks anymore. We can not go on like this, between the witches circle and the humans, we will be picked off like fish in a bowl. We need to make a united front. To survive. For the sake of our children, we need to put aside our differences and come together. Now, more than ever, is the time to come together.... To stop the violence.' Somchai looked at each of them beseechingly.

Somchai, an envoy from The Council of Supernaturals of Asia, C.S.A was from Singapore and had the misfortune to be chosen to unite the werewolves and vampires from Thailand where the worst of the supernatural racism was prevalent. He was of an average build with a unremarkable face and nondescript at first glance, but when he spoke, he transformed, his deep baritone carried to every member and his eloquence made up for his persona, much like an omega. The council for all their proclamations of equality and empowerment were woefully hierarchical, though not in the open. Somchai was probably a beta.

The Council of Supernaturals of Asia, C.S.A was set up after the Great War many centuries ago, the old leaders of werewolves, vampires, witches and Monk Tsu formed a pack to maintain their hard-won peace. Over the years they were called to help settle disputes all over Asia. When they grew weary of their duties they decided to establish a Council to entrust their duties and soon grew to be a large organisation that kept different supernaturals in check. If any disputes threatened to disrupt the balance of peace they would forcefully step in and set things right. They came to be recognised as the ultimate power.

'Let the past stay there, we have all lost our loved ones in this feud. If we fail to do so, we will lose everything in the most gruesome war to come,' he said gravely and looked at their reaction to see if his words had any effect. It was the same argument for the past nine months, but he couldn't make much leeway.

However, for all his charms, it was inconceivable what he was asking. It had never been done. Nobody could predict what a union between a werewolf and a vampire would yield, a hybrid or an abomination. The Council had been forcing a truce between them for years and now with the witches plotting, they seem to be willing to go to any lengths.

Now, after months of negotiations, the Alphas and Coven leaders of Thailand and a few delegates from the neighbouring countries decided to meet at the Council Elder's home outside Bangkok . It was an impressive brimstone mansion four stories high, reminiscent of an Irish castle with a grand arched entrance and two towers at the back, it was built in the late 1900's and set in between 50 acres of lush forest. It was the biggest Council centre for Thailand, Myanmmar, Laos and Vietnam.

'A family bond would unite us far better than a treaty ever could,' resolutely he ploughed on, effectively rousing everyone to start protesting again.

'Half-breeds,' they spat.

'Abominations.'

Fearing another volley of disruptions Somchai looked to the two leaders and spoke loudly, 'The Saynakhon pack and the Prachaya coven are among the biggest in this region, this union would bridge the gap and set an example for the others.'

Khemkhaeng sat on one of the two armchairs on either side of the centre table and looked at the others. The meeting was held in the ground floor study, a large mahogany desk with comfortable leather chair was set between two French windows facing the gardens, a large six seater couch with two comfortable armchairs and a beautiful carved glass topped centre table in the same shades of the table was set on one side of the spacious study, the other side was filled with floor to ceiling shelves of books with a movable ladder. The walls were adorned with big beautiful paintings and knick knacks of fine art pieces were aesthetically placed around the room.
