A/N:
Sorry for the long wait. School has been very stressful. I'll try to figure out a way that I can fit writing into my schedule. Anyways, please enjoy and excuse any possible mistakes I may have made.

Daddy's Decision

My parents have been home for about an hour, and my father hasn't even looked in my direction. I honestly feel like I'm 16 again, like my parents are going to break some devastating news. Some "you can't go to the dance type of bullshit." I just needed to know.

After about an hour waiting for him to approach me, I finally decided to go to him first. As I was approaching his office, I was getting all kinds of sick. I slowly opened the door, slid in through the small opening I made, and quietly shut the door behind me. My dad looked up, and his emotionless face turned into a sincere smile. Now I was definitely scared.

"Have a seat baby girl. I was just about to call you in here." He started.

I pulled out the leather chair and slowly sat down. He folded his hands and sat them lightly on the desk between us.

"So, tell me, how ya' been? What you been up to?" His tone wasn't sarcastic, yet I was still beyond scared.

"Um, I'm good. I've been good, dad. What about yourself?" I was able to keep my words flowing without any stuttering; however, I felt like I was about to pass the fuck out.

"I'm good! In fact, I'm perfect." He was smiling, he was happy, and I was fucking terrified. "Raja Nicole, do you know what has happened to to me this past week?" I stayed silent waiting for his to continue. "I spent an entire week on an island with the love of my life, and I realized something: your mother and I never spend enough time together. You know, being in a house with our kids, and grandkid, may I add, and running one of the biggest drug cartels in America, I realized that I lost so much time with my wife." I had no idea where he was going with this. I sat upright and looked at him while he spoke, waiting for him to get to his point.

"I also realized that my baby girl has grown up, and I can no longer force her to live I in this house. Raja," he sighed. "Before we left for vacation, your mother and I decided to let you move out." I squealed with excitement. This was my flight to freedom. He slid a key toward me. "We already bought the apartment." My hands were on my cheeks as I was bouncing up and down with the biggest smile on my face. "It's in Upper West Side. Your mom had it furnished for you while we were gone." I was hardly listening anymore. This was it. I'm free!

"Thank you, thank you, thank you daddy! A million times thank you!" I could no longer contain my excitement as I jumped over his desk and smothered him with a hug. "You don't know how much this means for me daddy!" I let out a big sigh of relief. "I-just-um, thank you." I let out.

"We can move you in today if you'd like," he said smoothing out his shirt that i caused to wrinkle.

"That would be awesome! Oh my god."

"I'll call some people to move all of your stuff over, and you can be moved out by the end of the night." He said. I could hear some regret in his voice.

"Ok dad." I said before walking out and doing a little happy dance once I reached the exit.
Once I closed his office door behind me, I slid down the door with my back against it.

This was everything that I wanted, but then I realized: why so fast? Why at this very moment? He couldn't have given me a couple days to prepare? Why was he rushing like this?

4:58 pm

"Where do you want this Raj?" Tj asked me, holding a box of my shoes.

"Where else, moron?" He rolled his eyes and carried the box into my new bedroom. This aparment was absolutely amazing, but extremely huge for just the two of us. I honestly wanted to turn it down the moment I walked inside, but this is what I wanted right? Besides, basically everything that I own has already been moved in here.

I sat down on a lovely white leather couch and stared at the amazing view of the city. I can be happy here. This is definitely something I can get used to. My thoughts were quickly interrupted by the loud clicking of heels and the pitter patter of small feet. I looked up to an impressed Tiffany and jumpy Nani.

"So, this is what freedom looks like, huh?" Tiffany said smiling and looking around.

"I guess so." I said pretending like I wasn't just contemplating on whether to back out or not.

"It'll be ok, girl." She said. I guess she could tell that I wasn't so sure about this quick move. "I know this is your first time on your own, but you're ready, trust me." She assured me.

Her lips curled tightly into a sneaky grin. "Where's my room?" She asked. I knew she was serious.

"Guest room is down the hall to the left." I said smirking and folding my arms over my chest.

"Guest room? Bitch, you have me all the way and a half fucked up." She said causing us to both burst into laughter.

Our laughter was dragged into a sudden seductive feel and atmosphere. "Raja, you need help with anything else?" The words spoken from the calm and effortlessly attractive Damien, one of my dad's businessmen. He wasn't around much, but when he was, I damn sure enjoyed it. He was only two years older than me and flirted every chance he got. The only reason I haven't let him make a serious move is because I know my dad would've try to bury the man alive. "No, I'm pretty sure that was everything." He smiled, nodded, then walked away.

"Uh uh. Hell naw. You can't have your eyes on that nigga when I'm putting in work for you to be with somebody else." Tiffany said causing me to give her a stern side eye.

"Well, first, I don't have my eyes on anybody; second, no matter how hard you try to make this thing with me and what's his name happen, it's not going to work."

She smacked her lips. "Don't act like you don't know his name."

I just stayed quiet, purposely trying to make it awkward. There was silence between us two for a good minute.

"Whatever. I'm going to take a nap in the guest room." She said putting air quotes around "guest room."

I honestly wouldn't mind spending more time with Adonis if he were down with it, but I'm not really focused on those things right now. I'm finally from under my parents' roof. That definitely means housewarming party to me.

After seeing Tiffany a few days ago, I was a lil' uneasy. She shut a nigga down like it was nothing. I definitely needed some closure. I picked up the phone. It rang three times.

"Oh, hey Christopher!"

"We need to talk."
