I couldn't breathe.

I tried to gasp for air but it was like my lungs were blocking the air. I frantically looked around hoping someone would see me.

Everything was muffled. Everything sounded as if it was so far away and I didn't like it. It was as if I was in the ocean and everyone was screaming for me to get up and yelling for me.

"JESSICA!"

I gasped as air finally flooded itself into my lungs. I tried to sit up but I was held down by something heavy, it was warm but moist.

I looked and was met with Eric's concerned face. "Eric." I whispered as I looked at him confused on why he was even on top of me.

"We got to go." He groaned.

He was panting and he looked so pale and tired. I looked over him and saw a damp spot on his shoulder.

My eyes widened. "Eric what the fuck." I gasped as I went to reach for his arm. Just to make sure that I wasn't imagining this.

This was so weird. Eric has never been injured during a sweep, he was never injured during a mission...this isn't making sense.

I went to touch his should but my hands were shaking and it wouldn't stop.

Eric never got hurt before...ever

"Calm down shrimpie, if I didn't know any better I would say you were worried." Eric said giving out a weak chuckle.

Okay now I'm slightly wishing that he was shot in the head.

"Jessica!" I turned my head and saw Four running towards me and Eric, concern wiped across his face.

"Erics been shot! We have to get to the train!" I said to him as I managed to get up. I was still so weak, my legs were shaking underneath me and I felt like I was about to collapse.

"No! I need to get something." Eric said as he held his shoulder and tried to run towards the building.

Is he insane! He's been shot and he's not gonna make it through that wave. "Eric just come to the train!" I yelled as I grabbed his arm.

Four and Eric shared a look before I felt an arm around my waist and being pulled.

"Four let me go you asshole!"

"Let's go! everyone back to the train!" Four yelled. I'm guessing everyone else was happy to go because they all immediately started running back to the tracks.

"We have to wait for Eric" I said to four still trying to get out of his grasp.

Four looked at me for a moment and groaned. "Get on the train and I'll be back." He said to me as he placed me down.

I looked at him worried. Did he plan on going on his own?

What is it with men going into danger without fucking thinking!

I grabbed his arm and sighed. "Be safe." I pleaded.

Four smirked before winking and running away.

I sighed as I watched him run away. I bit my lip and quickly turned away and ran towards the tracks.

"Jessica are you okay?" I turned and saw Zeke running next to me worried. I nodded my head but it was obvious that I was lying.

"Where is Eric? I saw what happened? Is he okay?" He asked me but I raised a brow.

We had climbed up the columns. "What happen?" I asked him.
