Late Night

After texting Yuta, Taeil made some food and crashed on the couch. He woke up to the sound of knocking on his door.

"What time is it?" He squinted at the clock and saw that it said 9:30. "Who could that be?" Taeil rubbed his eyes and lifted the blanket off himself to get up. He only took maybe 5 steps before he could smell a familiar scent at his door, but this time, it was stronger than ever.

Jaehyun?

He walked to the door and opened it. His eyes widened when he got a good look at the boy. He was sweating a bit, which made some of his hair stick to his forehead. The Alpha stood hunched slightly but breathing deeply. His hands were repeatedly clenching and unclenching by his side.

"J-Jaehyun?" Jaehyun looked up quickly, showing his bright red eyes to the Omega. Taeil felt himself shiver at the sight. Honestly, if it wasn't for the suppressants, he would probably be on the floor by now.

Oh my god. He's in rut...

"Hyung." It was barely a whisper, but Taeil heard him anyway. Taeil grabbed Jaehyun's arm and gently pulled him in the apartment, closing the door right after.

"Jaehyun, are you okay?" He thought he would ask just in case the boy wasn't fully under yet.

"Hyung." Jaehyun's arms slowly moved up and grasped Taeil's wrists. There was a strong pressure to his hold. It hurt more and more by the second. The older could see his eyes darting from his face to his neck several times, as if he was gauging Taeil's reactions as well as his next move. He needed to stop him before things gets worse. when he remembered something Yuta gave him, back when said Alpha last had his rut.

"Come here."

He quickly directed the younger to the kitchen, prying his arms from his grasp to get him a cup of water. He reached into the medicine cabinet and fished out some suppressants. They were new night time ones, so they would help whoever took them to go to sleep. Yuta gave them to him just in case the younger ever went into rut when he slept over. Didn't really need to use them until now because Yuta was more diligent than that. Taeil poured out a pill and handed it, along with the cup of water, to Jaehyun.

"Here, take this." Jaehyun stared at it for a moment, as if he was trying to process it, and then downed the pill and water in a few seconds. Taeil took the cup from him and placed it on the counter. "Let's go sit down."

They made it to the couch with no problems, but he noticed that Jaehyun hasn't stopped staring at him. It's to be expected because he's in rut, but he wasn't sure what to do. He's truly never seen someone in rut before.

"Hug." The younger whispered.

"What?"

"Hug. Hug you?" They were choppy sentences but Taeil could get the gist of it.

"Um, here." He sat with his back flushed to the couch and offered a shoulder instead of a hug. The younger took it anyway and leaned his head down onto his shoulder.

He seems surprisingly calm. Maybe him just being in here calmed him down. Hopefully the medicine kicks in and he'll soon be asleep before he does anything we'll both regret.

Taeil glanced over to his face, noticing his hooded red eyes and slightly open lips. He was completely zoned. The older picked this time to find something on the tv to maybe put him to sleep. Something nature related should work. He quickly searched for anything and found a show about planets. He clicked on it without hesitating, sighing happily when the guy's voice came on. It was the calmest thing Taeil has ever heard, sure to put the young Alpha to sleep.
